Original Event Discussion topic... I'll host the 5th Annual Prowler Drags or just join me to take on the Vettes... I'll be there either way... Landon Robert's will be the beneficiary of this year's event. Pat Joffrion (NPR Track owner & Marion Boudreaux (Track secretary) asked if we would consider helping the Landon's family with this year's benefit. I thought it was a wonderful idea. I've also spoken with the lead person with the Assumption Parish Relay for Life teams and they also agree helping Landon would be welcome and helpful. Here's some background from Marion on Landon: "Landon is a 5 yr. old little boy from Belle Rose, LA who needs everyone's help. When he was 1&1/2 yrs old he was diagnosed with clear cell sarcoma (cancer) and went through very extensive treatment. Just 2 weeks ago he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. He had successful surgery yesterday and his treatments will run for about a year. If he makes it through all of his treatments he will have a 30% chance of surviving for 5 years. Landon's Mom and Dad are going through such a hard time. Thank You for your support and please keep Landon and his family in your prayers." This year the Event Fee will be $10 for everyone. Children under 13 are Free. So, to either race or be a spectator will be $10. GNOCC Greater New Orleans Corvette Club - approved donating $100 Flyer ... Sunday, Feb. 20th No Problem Raceway Admission $10 for Spectators or Racers. Children under 13 Free; Tech Card will be given to Club members and family. Any profits will go to Landon Robert's Donation Fund a local five year old boy fighting cancer in Belle Rose, LA Trophy Bracket Racing and Heads Up Challenge ... Three Classes ... Members are invited to bring whichever car, truck they wish and family members are also invited. There will be classic cars and new cars. Any questions you can contact me here or email... Are you planning to just drive over early Sunday AM or are you going over Saturday evening? I'll be driving down on Saturday and will make the 11 hour trip home on Monday. This should be a nice winter break! Hope you can make it. I will be at the track on Saturday. That is our 2nd Grand Bayou Road Race and we'll be racing the 78 Vette. I'll probably spend the night with my Dad (closer to track). We can plan on dinner Saturday night... We'll go to Hymel's seafood restaurant on the MS river. Depending what time you arrive, you could come out and watch some of the racing on Saturday... Some graphics Pauley and I worked on Hopefully many of the modified Cats show up for this one. Very cool Laddie, you turned out to be a hardcore race enthusiast. Later... ------------------Laddie Roussel Everything is set for Sunday, Feb. 20th, 2005 at No Problem Raceway for the Mopar vs Vette Car Club Challenge.

This year I asked each club to donate the $100 toward the event. Last year I asked each club to put up $100 just in case we didn't draw enough gate money to pay for track rental (around $2,700 including insurance & costs) and I returned the checks after we covered the costs. Two clubs told me to just donate their check to the charity. So, this year I would like each club to donate the $100 to the cover the costs. If we have a good gate, more money could go to the local charity beneficiary in the Belle Rose area. Sewell Cadilac and Chevrolet of New Orleans has signed on as a sponsor for Trophies.
Beneficiary of this Year's Event.
Also, there will be food vendors cooking at the event and all those proceeds will go to the Landon Robert's Donation Fund.
Here's Lists on Club's Participation from last year and I'll use this as our list for this year's event. If you want to add clubs just let me know.. This is the response so far from the clubs...
CCCC - Cresent City Corvette Club - approved donating $100
BRCC - Baton Rouge Corvette Club -
NSCC - Northshore Corvette Club - approved donating the $100
CCC - Cajun Corvette Club -
BSCC - Bayou State Corvette Club -
BEMA - Big Easy Mopar Club - approved donating $200
POA - Prowler Owner Assn. - approved donating the $100
Mid South (LA) Viper Club -

Shreveport River Cities Corvette Club -
Only members of the clubs will be able to get a tech card and get on the track. New members can show up at the track and join one of the clubs. A good turnout (members and spectators) should allow us to cover the rental of track and hopefully more to make a good donation to Landon Robert's Fund in Belle Rose, LA....
This year the Event Fee will be $10 for everyone. Children under 13 are Free. So, to either race or be a spectator will be $10.
