The company says it will take a loss of $245 million but it seems to have little choice given the lack of demand from customers and the vehicles’ higher repair costs.

So they tried to be unbiased and did put some blame on the infrastructure and and the cars losing capacity and ability to charge in the extreme cold, and yet they still seemed to put more blame on uneducated drivers / owners and too many cheaper model EV’s being driven. The Mustang owner charged his car at 1:30 AM the previous night. How often do you go to the gas station to fill up at 1:30 AM. And he is obviously part of the problem as hinted to at the beginning by not having a home charger. Nothing in that video would change my mind about buying an EV under current circumstances with infrastructure etc. I still believe this EV push and in some cases mandates are iexamples of putting the cart before the horse.

What I’m finding out is that they are requiring the cars to be 20-40% charged upon return. Nobody wants to deal with that. Especially if you have a flight to catch.
