Don't tale chances with older tires ..Just because the tire looks good it may not be .I saw some where that you should change out your tires every 6 years I thought Ya right but from now on I will be doing just that . This is the sec.time in 2 months that I have had a tire do this do to 5 plus years old . My expidition and F250 .. and it will take more to repair the the tires will cost .There should be a Date when the tires were made stamped on your tires . Just think what this would do to a Prowler ..

There is a code (oval shape) on the tire that shows the year and week it was manufactured.

Not sure about cars and trucks, but I can relate some horrible experiences regarding motor coaches having blown tires that are 6 years of age, including my own. They may look brand new, but cause lots of damage when they blow, including fires and roll-overs.
