There is a code (oval shape) on the tire that shows the year and week it was manufactured.jimsutton Don't tale chances with older tires ..Just because the tire looks good it may not be .I saw some where that you should change out your tires every 6 years I thought Ya right but from now on I will be doing just that . This is the sec.time in 2 months that I have had a tire do this do to 5 plus years old . My expidition and F250 .. and it will take more to repair the the tires will cost .There should be a Date when the tires were made stamped on your tires . Just think what this would do to a Prowler .. George Johnson Jim, katmat Try this site: http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html jimsutton posted some pics. on other sight they were to big for this one and could not get it to work .. JeraneW Not sure about cars and trucks, but I can relate some horrible experiences regarding motor coaches having blown tires that are 6 years of age, including my own. They may look brand new, but cause lots of damage when they blow, including fires and roll-overs.
