No, DC is only making the floor mats with silver logo. No Car Covers, but I am checking into the OEM vendor to see if they are willing to do them for our Prowler store. |

The mats we are now offering in our Prowler store are done by the vendor that does the Viper mats for the Viper club. Same quality. |

CJ - Viper's Prowler mats are thicker than our OEM and are black. What, if any, difference is there in them, and the ones in the Prowler store? If you are going to get the OEM vendor to do mats for our store, will they be identical to OEM? Colors? Can you get some made for the 97's as well - without the peg holes? |

I recently purchased a set of purple mats from Ebay seller "rad30" and they arrived today. From the markings on the Mopar sticker I noticed that they were produced 12/2004. Evidently the manufacturer is producing them again for Chrysler. They don't show up as being in inventory anywhere in the country, but evidently that might change soon... For the record, I've also seen a lot of brand new Mopar car covers being sold on Ebay recently. I'm willing to bet that they are also being produced again. I haven't purchased one of those yet, but once the price dips below $200.00 I'll own one of those too. I guess that days of the $400.00 covers are gone with the $6K hard tops... SuperDave |

I spoke with my Mopar contact today regarding the mats. They are aware of the situation, but assures me that they are only producing the mats with the silver logo. The Viper club mats are done by a company out of California. These people had approached me a year ago about doing mats for the Prowler Club. They had done the mats for the "California Kid" Prowler from Performance West and I had expressed an interest in the mats for the Prowler Club. PF put the mat company in contact with me. We are now providing the floor mats to the Prowler owners through this company and they are available in all the car colors. I did tell my Mopar contact that we are producing these mats, but they are different in that they have the cat logo on them in addition to the wordmark. Phil Horvath is acting as liaison with the company for me as he is right down the street from this company. He assures me that the quality of these mats is excellent. The purchase and profit from these floor mats through the Prowler store directly benefits the POA and it's owners. With regard to the car covers........Mopar has discontinued them. I talked to the OEM vendor (last year) about doing the car covers for the Prowler club. They are very interested in doing that and are getting together pricing for me for the car cover, the car cover bag and the trailer covers. He has assured me that we can do them in all the car colors versus just the purple. I have another call in to another Mopar contact to clear this with them. If I can get permission, we could pretty much start producing them right away at a reasonable price to the owners. This message has been edited by CJ on 01-04-2005 at 02:24 PM |

quote: Maybe I did read your prior post wrong as it related to you getting mats made from the OEM vendor vs car covers. However, I have been asked, and have wondered myself, about the difference in the mats we could get from the viper club vs the prowler store mats. All I have heard so far is that the same people are making them, but I haven't heard anything so far about how they compare as to color and thickness. CJ did state some time back that the viper club mfgr. would be making us mats like the OEM mats with a different logo form. This tells me that color is agate like the OEM vs black like the viper club mats, pile is short like the OEM vs plush like the viper club mats, but I haven't heard a confirmation of this yet. Only that the same people are making them. |

idive, The Prowler Store floor mats are made by Designer Mats from Southern California and come in 2 standard colors black or steel grey(which is the same color as the original OEM)all car colors are available for the embroidery and can be the wordmark, cat, or both. The difference between the Prowler Store and the Viper Club mats are the order of the embroidery the Viper Mats have the Cat on top of the wordmark whereas the Prowler Store mats have the wordmark on top of the cat. The Viper Club mats only come in black. These mats have a foam backing instead of the OEM knobby rubber back and are slightly larger then the OEM so they have a tighter fit. If someone wants to order mats without the hole you would just need to send me an email so I can delete that option when the mat is ordered from the vendor. I'll pull the OEM mats out tonight and see if I can come up with other comparisons. This message has been edited by CA Phil on 01-04-2005 at 04:34 PM |

The Designer Mat floor mats, in my opinion, have a thicker/dense pile. I think the quality is equal or better than the original OEM mats. Maybe some of the 15+ who ordered and received their floor mats could post their opinions.
