Had to do it. The mighty Prowler began it's winter hibernation this evening.

Now I'll have to live vicariously through my southern friends for a few months.

Thanks again the Mike and Judy for hooking me up with the CarBag (a fabulous investment) and to CJ for step by step advice on winter storage.

'Com on Spring!!!

How cold is it up there already? The last couple of days have been really nice here but the leaves are really starting to fall now. We are supposed to hit the lower 70s most of the week.
Weird year weatherwise, here.

Strange weather here in Oklahoma...This week it's been in the 80's! My garage is insulated so I will keep my Prowler ready to drive at a moment's notice all year round. We've hand washed cars on Christmas day here in the past...not always that warm...but that unpredictable!

This is always a tough call. Yesterday it was 60 and mostly sunny. Today, 43 and rain. Thursday is supposed to be 70 with showers and this weekend we're back into the 40's.

I get kind of tired of the weather rollercoaster this time of year.

Our weather has been on a rollercoaster all year. It supposed to be high 60's here this weekend, but I will probably park the kat anyway.

Car in storage? What does that mean? It's getting very cold in Southern California also (at one time is was all the way down to 70 degrees!) but mine is driven daily.

Yeah you all know mine's my daily driver, but one thing that you guys are missing when you put your cats in deep storage is the fun of taking it out on a real clear cold crisp day, and feeling a ton more horsepower from "Mother Nature's Cold Air Intake."

The car has quite a kick to it when driving in cold weather.

BT - Maybe we should schedule the "Prowler Winter Nationals" drag race on a crisp February morning at a track near you!

My old kat does not get Officially put away for the winter, instead it suffers for the good of the group, it gets torn apart, stuck with tape, smeared with several different body fillers and fiberglass and at times has a good 1/4 inch of dust and metal shavings covering it. So please keep my kat in your prayers that I do not do any permanent damage to her.

If it wasn't for the salt on the roads, I'd take it out in the cold.........cold is not the issue.

We have a combination of salt and anti-skid. I think the little stones in the anti-skid are worse than the salt.

I drove mine to Sandy's parents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day a few years ago. It was very cold on the way home at night. If you think the Prowler has a rough ride under normal temps., you ought to try it at about 15 or 20 degrees. My Flexible Flyer sled seemed smoother. lol
