Does anyone know if you can cancel a factory extened warranty if I were to sell my Kat? Warranty was purchased in Feb of 2004 on a 2000 Silver Prowler, and no claims have been made on it since it was purchased. It is a Chrysler Max Care 7/50000 warranty. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Rather than cancel, it's an excellent selling perk...for $50 the new owner can transfer over into his/her name!
But, you can call Daimler-Chrysler contracts: 800-521-9922 and ask 'em! Have your VIN# handy, BTW!

Thanks Tytanium-k...I'm thinking about trading it in, and thought maybe I could recoup some of the warranty money. The dealer won't give me anymore for the car with, or without the warranty.

I have cancelled Chrysler service contracts in the past and did get back some of my money. The amount depends on what you paid for it and how long ago you bought it. I believe all you have to do is take the original service contract papers to your dealer and ask them to cancel it.

Note that you MUST be the original purchaser of the contract. If it was transferred to you when you bought the car, it is no longer cancellable (or transferrable.)

Depending on what dealer is offering you for trade-in...typically very little, you may have better luck selling it yourself on autotrader or even the POA classifieds~might be worth a shot! Whaddya' got to lose cept maybe a lil time...make the price attractive, ya won't even lose that! Cheers maverick1!
