I spoke with Larry yesterday afternoon after he had just received his replacement hardtop. Everything is just fine and the color matches perfectly. The first hardtop we sent him with the mis-match color will be returned to me within a few days so we can review why the color is incorrect. I'm glad we could make things right for Larry. It's all about taking care of the customer! Have a great July 4th weekend everyone. ------------------ |

It's really great that most of y'all have/had a pleasant experience with purchases from TGF. Mine, however is rather disappointing so far - after placing an order for engine side panels back in April I STILL did not get them. I even anticipated on having them for the 'Nashville event' ! (which was 2 weeks ago) Being in manufacturing myself I understand the difficulties and challenges, however MY customers would kick my $%#@.....with an order dragging for months ! ------------------ This message has been edited by Dustis on 07-07-2004 at 09:24 PM |

Dustis, as hard as the vendors here try to provide product on a timely basis it does not always work out, since the cars along with the aftermarket parts we provide are not high volume even our vendors put us on the back burner, yes these parts cost more than something for a Camaro or a Honda Civic but R&D, Molds and Tooling cost the same. Case in point for me I went to the Texas Event for a week and expected when I returned to have parts ready to ship, my fiberglass supplier had a new guy making my parts, they were delivered to the painters and the painters painted and had them ready for me, when I went to put weekenders together the fiberglass was to thin and was cracking. Well I now have 7 weekenders that are no good and had to be redone, so I had to have new parts made, let them sit a week to gas out, 1 week to paint and then a few days for me to put together. The people expecting them 2 weeks ago have been very patient and I appreciate that and I hope to have them all out by the end of next week. So I guess what I am trying to say is be patient and the parts you receive should be right. Remember this thread start as Warmcool had a problem and it is now correct and was very painless. ------------------ |

Thanks Bob, (by the way, hope you're 'ribs' are gettin' better !) ....as I said, I definitively understand the manufacturing aspect and all that goes with it (been there many times before as well) and I truly appreciate every vendor on the POA that provides us with such great products, because it's not a 'high volume' business !!! |

Dustis, I really appreciate you ordering your engine panels from me and I have been very honest with the delays in your order to you. The latest delay as I mentioned to you was due to us deciding to chrome the screens on the engine side panels and our front grills instead of the powder coating that we have been doing for so long. My powder coating vendor can turn-around these parts in 24 hours, but since we decided to chrome them, my chrome vendor has told me 2 weeks for turn-around and so far it is going on 4 weeks. As you understand the manufacturing processes, I have only sent 20 sets of screens and if this turns out to be a problem of getting my chrome pieces on time, then I will consider changing back to my powder coating vendor who I can rely on a 24 hour turn-around. As I have also mentioned in the emails we send to each other almost on a weekly basis is how much I appreciate you patience and any other customer that is asked to wait beyond there delivery date. I know it is not good business to keep customers waiting for there parts, but sometimes things happen that I cannot control 100%. I don't want to delay your order any longer than necessary because that means I don't get paid for your order. As my standard policy, I do not expect payment for any parts until the day they are to be shipped to my customers. Again, I am truly sorry that you have to wait a little longer for your order. I'm sure you will be very pleased with the quality of our product when you receive it. I really strive for taking care of my customers, because without happy customers.....I would not be in business. Dustis---Don't feel bad. Bought the panels from northern kat in the fall and i just got them a few weeks ago, 1 week at body shop and now installed. Its july. About 8 months. when you buy a prowler and want special things its a long process. I'm impatient also but understand the problems. Hang in there you'll get them! I appreciate anyone who takes the time and effort to make prowler after market parts. There are only 11000 around and some have been wrecked, some are always going to remain stock! Thanks Richard and Chuck...People have no idea the work and patients its takes to do an after market part.. I was promised the panels would be done in 3 months and they were...but the Darts took another 4 months Who knew..for me it was all part of "Fighting the Dragon" So if anyone has lots of time, a big bank account For me...the NEXT piece I will do is just for me.. I think everyone should try doing a AM piece..NOT

Thank you Norb Once again, I appreciate you and all the other vendors here on the POA for offering these excellent products to us Prowler owners. If my comments sounded as 'complaining' that was not my intention - from the beginning of this post I expressed my gratitude to YOU vendors to make it possible for us 'Prowlers' to personalize and enhance our vehicles ! |

Whoever is holding him up is probably having a hard time sitting down. Friends help you move...Real friends help you move Bodies Larry |
