I arrived today in Austin at 5pm and Pauley Hines picked me up and cruised down to the Lakeway Inn Conference Resort. I was amazed at how humid it was and the temps were in the 90's...

Once I checked in Bob from Realrod.com, AlleyCat, Pauley, Pauleys son and their female mates cruised on Lake Travis Lake to eat at Carlos N Charlies...

Here are a few pics I took while doing this... In my hotel unfortunatley they do not have DSL so this bummed me out a little but I have dial up... Loading image updates will prove to be very slowwwwwwww....

I may not do them all but will post some thru out the week.. Others might do the same so you will get angles from various enthusiasts... I have been posting pics way before many were doing it... In the morning I will be taking shots of the parking lot... There are many prowlers and trailers here.

Enjoy!!

I waited and waited for the rain to stop and it just will not quit... I decided to take one shot due to the rain and here is what I got... A few prowlers had driven to the downstairs parking lot.

I'm going to try and make it out there for the 7:30 parking lot swim tonight , and maybe dinner a the Oasis (hopefully the clouds will break, it has the best sunset view in TX bar none...)... worst comes to worst ii can chat it up in the bar with ya'll... I'll be in the Hawaiian shirt (no flame shirts as of yet)

On a brighter note, at least the rain will keep the number of bugs hitting your prowlers on the way to Houston to a minimum. They can be killers to the front end of a car this time of year.....

Se there is a bright side to everything.. you just have to look hard enough

Well, got up this morning to meet the group at 8:00am in the main lobby. I get there and we all get the break down on what is about to go down.

While this is going on, tons of rain is falling all around us... I was thinking to myself, do we really want to drive or beloved prowlers in this rain????????????????

Appearantly we did.... Pauley Hines was gracious enough to lend us his prowler so Gary E from prowlerproduct.com and I jumped into Pauleys Prowler and off we went... Pauley promised the rain would stop so he told us to keep the top down... I said, well, pauley is from Texas so he must know something we Californians dont' about Texas weather...

I would swear if you saw dark charcoal clouds and smelled wet dirt it meant it was going to rain... But Gary E and I trusted Pauley..

Pauley also warned in the event we wanted to roll down the drivers side window, to assist it when we try to roll it back up because it would not roll up on its own...

So, off we go with the top down and the drivers side window rolled down... We did not think nothing of it and were doing just fine for the next 10 miles or so...

All of a sudden we see BRIGHT lighting and HUGE BOOMS coming from the clouds and BAAAMMMM the rain starts falling HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are getting drenched and we are laughing our hearts out and can't believe we are stuck in this predicament...

Gary E and I both agreed we better put the top up because we will be swimming in Pauleys prowler... We stopped as soon as we could of the side of the road and I got out to put the top up and OH MY GOD,,,, did we get drenched....

We finally got on the road again and the rain turned into what would seem Niagra Falls... We got hit HARD!!!

I'm holding on to Pauleys top because his passengers side latch is broken and will not latch. If I even let go for a second a sprinkler would get activated right into my face and chest...

Gary E in the other had is having to watch the road and trying to roll up his window but would not roll up because it needed assistence but this would prove to be a challenge since the window mechanism finally took and dump and did not roll the window all the way up...

We finllay decided to forfeit the trip to the car museum and stop at Mc Donalds... It was too much water coming into the car... My camera equipment stopped working becuase it report "Condensation detected shutting down". I could not believe I would not be able to catch any of this on film... This would have been the best funniest videos ever...

We finally managed to get back in one piece...

Pauley calls me and asked me how we are holding up and I told him what had happened and he right away said, lets go back and catch up with them... I said, you are crazy, you get severally wet... Pauley is such a care free person he did not care,, he grabbed a couple of towels and took off yet again on his prowler in the rain... I know what he going to go thru but appearantly he don't care...

So now, I sit here in my cottage typing this post...

UNBELIEVABLE MORNING...!!!

Hey Ron,

Ring me up on the walkie talkies,,, I have it on...
