Here are two nice cars sitting in a crappy garage...

BEFORE

...not anymore...

AFTER

I laid down 400 vinyl composite tiles from Lowes over glue that has a 24 hr. working time. Tiles went down at a rate of 8-10 per minute, and they fit together so perfectly, that I shuffled around the floor in socks and couldn't find any uneven edges..incredibly smooth...it's now my favorite room...

more pics...

The first course was absolutely the most important...took a while to set that up. A laser level helped a lot.

Sandy's T-Bird wall...

VERY nice. My new home will be done in late May and I have toyed with the idea of putting down tiles similar to that. I have read on other threads (Pumpkin I believe...) that he used some sort of ceramic tiles. I'd be curious how these tiles hold up. Congratulations on a nice job.

BOB: Pumpkin was my direct inspiration for the garage look, and he used the exact same tile I did from Lowes! They are vinyl composite...AND HEAVY! each tile is 2 lbs. a box of 45 tiles is 90 lbs! Sandy came home with 10 boxes in her T-bird trunk ....I think her front tires were in the air...LOL.

One thing to avoid at all costs is self stick tiles. ...laying these tiles with the glue was easy...

Looks great, the cars too.

Now, If I only had a two car garage, Patty would have here T Bird in there too.

Very nice

I like how you sweated the details. Like how the mower matches too. Seriously, nice job.

LOL..NOT a BBQ but Sandy's hard top for the T-Bird.

But the matching mower IS scary. I need to pinstripe it!

I'm shopping for shop stools, they make some wicked cool stools with hot rod themes...I wish pep Boys was near me...they apparently carry some cool hot rod theme stools.

Looks great and I am glad I was your inspiration. We added one more touch. We applied a tapered rubber edging from a carpet place .Its 1/4 inch thick and around 1 1/2 inch wide .Applied with glue . It is used on tile to not have an exposed edge.

That lawn more doesn't belong there. Put it in it's own garage, then you'll have a proper prowler(and t-bird) "nest". Boy, I wonder just what would come from a union of a Prowler and a T-bird, I'll need to think that one over. Looks Very Good! I've got a parking tent that needs one of those floors-how soon can you start? Obi-Wan

Outstanding!

Your garage is nicer than my living room.

Looks great Joe! Can't wait to see it this weekend.

The weather is looking better...

I bought a set of those stools at Pep Boy's. They're pretty nice. I can check the local Pep Boy's for you but I don't have a way to bring them this weekend.

Thanks all....

PUMPKIN: Thanks for the tip! I've been looking for a transition strip but Lowes didn't have anything that worked for my floor.

DPENA: Lowes...black tile $1.00 each. White..$2.00 each. They come in boxes of 45.

JKBURNS: I finished the garage so I wouldn't be tempted to move in Pumpkin's garage..hell, he's got a big screen TV in his!

MDProwler: Looking forward to meeting ya. Maybe we have time to meet before the show as we discussed. (I'll give you contact info for me if you need directions....check your PM.) If not maybe some Prowlers can come over after the show for some chillin'. RE: The seat....I am able to order that seat online from a million different sites, but I've seen that Pep Boys has other styles... But I want this one....

BT - check at a carpet store, they should have the strips.
