I have come to the conculsion that the front bumpers must go. Are there numerous signal conversion kits to pick from? Which one of the conversion kits is made well, installs cleanly and has a nice appearance? What advantages or disadvantages are there to the hidden lights in the grill or the lights that go on the front sides of the fairings? I have been told that some of the light kits use double sided tape to hold the light housing on the fairings, can that be a problem? Your opinions and advice are greatly appreciated, since I am a newbie. Thanks in advance.

I have had the kit from Tom Mills in my car for over four years now. It is a bolt on kit with no tape. I prefer it because the lights are external and it installs easily, once you get the bumpers removed. All the kits are quality products, I think the appearance is a matter of personal preference. I obviously prefer Tom's kit, since that is the one I bought.

The Tom Mills kit looks nice if you want the the turnsignals in that lcoation. Personally I like the flat fill in panels from Real Rod with the turn signals behind the grill.

I used the Tom Mills kit because I can still fit my front end bra on without cutting it up to make fit around most of the other covers. If you don't use a bra,,,,then most any vendors covers look good, in my opinion.

I've got Real Rod's "Behind the Grill" turn signals too. In the Good Old Days, hot rods didn't have turn signals and, in my humble opinion, this is a little more retro look.

I was the one that begged Tom to make more after seeing his car in `99 at a car show. He had made a set for his car and had not decided if he wanted to make more.

after a while he decided to make them. I like them the best. Remove the bumpers, unplug the factory lights in the bumpers and install Tom's kit and plug the lights in and you are done. It uses 2 of the factory bolt location from the bumpers.

As far as I know there have been none that didn't match when installed. I was afraid mine would not match due to the fact my car has been recleared after the graphics.

IN MY OPINION they look like they were made at the factory and blend in perfectly on the car.

Ive had the TGF covers on 3 cars that Ive owned. They tape on but I like that look better than the other smaller kits. Its amatter of preference. The Real rod light kit that mounts in the grill is outstanding. At night the whole grille lights up and the blinkers are at the normal blink rate! Mike

Products By Gary has a nice relo light Kit. I'm considering it also. It does have the lights like Tom Mills, just a little different look.

I installed these and added motorcycle turn signals. Bob's kit comes with the caps for the suspension threads

I recently finished install of the Tom Mills re-location kit and it looks great. I initially looked at all available options/kits and I thought the Tom Mills kit looked the best. Since the install, everyone who has seen the car has said that the mod looks like it was original factory install and are very surprised that its after market.

The body shop that does all of my aftermarket painting and installs said that the Tom Mills kit is some of the best after market design and quality that they have ever seen.

While we're yakking about mods...would also recommend install of a SSS muffler from Jay Harris. Really improves the sound of the kat!

Also Jay and Tom are great to work with and will help you get through the install process.
Good Luck!
