I have seen a Prowler with the hardtop and it looks really great. However at $3000 I am concerned as to how much I would really use it. First in Georgia we only have 3 to 4 months that require top up driving only(sometimes less). When you leave the house you would have to decide top on all day or leave it home. Same for traveling. For instance it would be great to have the top on when traveling up to Woodward. Then I would have to store it in the hotel room or leave it on all the time (I don't think so) I would like some input as to how much you really use the top vs the cost. In other words do you think it was worth it for the amount of use it gets. I realize poeple in the north would get more use. Some input please. Thanks in advance. ------------------ This message has been edited by BeWare on 07-30-2001 at 07:53 PM |

I have the hardtop from TGF......... It's sharp looking, but it rattles a bit too much while you drive..... I'm working with Norb to resolve a few problems, but nothing too major at all....... No need to spark them here when they are probably adjustment difficulties that can be fixed with a wrench. :-) :-) The quality is VERY high........ -Ben ------------------ |

Good question Rich. I won one, but traded it because I figured that while it would be different, it wouldn't get much use. Still a nice piece though. ------------------ |

I have one and love it, It adds a new look and extra headroom. If you were to go on a trip and want if off, just leave it in your room or find a friend that is taking a extra truck give him a real good tip (dinner?) to hold it for you till you need it back. Most of the time on the highway on a long trip you have the top up.JMO ------------------ |

Rich, I'm not as far North as Tony G. and some of the others, but I can't see having a hard top. 1. During the months that I can drive the Prowler, I don't have the top up unless I absolutely have to! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat! |

Rich Where I live there's a good chance of getting caught in the rain if you drive it as much as I do. PK |
