Sold? Not made, that is 151 & 12 Canadian. A local dealer has 2 in his showroom supposedly and at least one other dealer is advertising a Black Tie. That seems like a lot of Black Ties in a city this size. Anyone have any idea how many have been sold? There are 3 registered in the registry, where I discovered who has the Red Prowler built right before mine, Russell Potter from Mi. and Mike K's red one was 7 after mine. That is by VIN. Chrysler put out a sold listing the other day, I think CJ posted a link. So far, only 63 (if I remember right) of the Black Ties had been sold. Mine is #35 ------------------ |

Richard, Thanks. We tried that picture a bunch of different ways and never did get it the way I wanted it. The employees thought we were professional photographers we were down there so much. |

I stopped to look at the TWO Black ties. One was a silver with a black bra so my information was not very accurate. The Bow Tie did not have a number on the trunk, in the pinstripe. Do they have numbers like the Woodward? According to the Window Sticker it was a Black Tie. They ONLY wanted $66,000. |

[QUOTE]Originally posted by OhioSilverCat: [B]Ed, I like the diner the best. Richard - I agree with you, the diner pic is sharp. But any pic of the red cat that Ed is NOT in, usually comes out that way! Are you going to make it to Woodward? ------------------

I didn't see a number on it or Dr Ru. I have seen Woodwards and that is what I was looking for. The salesman said it was # 82, I may stop back just to double check. Thanks Mike, I originally asked the question prior to you posting the numbers. Hard to believe there are 1496 unsold Cats still out there. |

Yes it is hard to believe there are 1496 unsold cats, considering two years ago, there might have been 1496 deposits waiting for cat arrivals. Make that 1495 - ran into a guy last saturday night at car show who is going to buy very soon. I'm leading him in the right direction to become another proud owner. ------------------

I think it is the dealers trying to get such enormous bump ups that has caused the Kats to remain unsold more then anything. It is one thing for the manufacturer to want 90K for a car, and another for a dealer to try and double the price. People hate to be ripped off. ------------------ |

Todd - you are right on target. Just looked at Bow-Tie (#33) today at a local dealer. $67,000 tag still on window - no wonder it is still sitting there. Has been dry wiped so many times, the trunk lid looks like scratch city. In my line of work its - SELL IT or SMELL IT ------------------

You can add another 156 sold Prowlers in Jan 2001 to the previous Dec 2000 to date # of 6,775. Don't have the breakdown by color... These were all Plymouth Prowlers (0 Chrysler in Jan). Don't know the Jan 2001 production. Based on past history it should be between 200 & 250. And, this would now be split between Plymouth & Chrsyler. ------------------ |

Ed, 83 Black Tie's sold to date. All 2001 BT's (vin 1V700000) are numbered in the paint stripe on the decklid. The sales code ACB will appear on the sticker. The five cars built in the 2000 model year (vin YV000000) as two-tones are not numbered. |

Thanks, CJ. That is interesting that they made 5 two-tone cats in 2000 model year. That will be a pretty rare car. I will stop and check that out today because I definitely did not see a number. It is good we have someone getting all this INSIDE information. |
