A few weeks ago I received my Flamed door panel inserts from Bob Goetz / Real Rod and installed them, but waited to post pics until my Flame Ball shifter knob arrived. Well Saturday about 3pm my Flame Ball arrived in the mail! Thanks to the great directions posted by Black Tie 161, it didn't take more than 10 minutes to install the Flame Ball, and it looks awesome!! Thanks to Bob for such a great mod. Used a little Mother's Billet Polish on the shaft prior to installation for that final show finish! The machine work on the shaft was already excellent, but that Mother's Polish makes it look like chrome! And crusin back from the Pavillions tonight the shifter glows the neatest red flames in the dark!!! Too Cool!!!
Larry (Alley Cat) tells me I'm now hooked..and the mods have just begun!!! He's right!! I'm already waiting for my Real Rod retro rear pan which I ordered Friday...Thanks to my lovely wife who is financing this "fun"!!! |

Congrats prowlrman! Glad the instructions helped....I'd be embarrassed to say how much time I spent putting the shifter in, but then again....I was documenting it and was having way too much fun to rush the process. Hopefully the instructions took any guess work out of the installation.... Now your biggest challenge is to keep your eyes on the road with that cool shifter! Nice door panels too! Maybe someday I'll paint mine myself.... |

Glad you liked it all! And I agree Black Tie did a GREAT JOB on the instructions I may have to send him other new items just so he can do the instruction sheets! ------------------ |
