Here's something different. Some of you know I put my stock muffler back on about six months ago due to too much noise coming out of my dual 2 1/2 inch straight pipes back to my OBX mufflers. Well it summertime now, time for cruise nites etc. So I wanted something different. Plus with all the work that has been done to my exhaust, all of it was welded, no flanges, so if I wanted something different I had to take it back to the muffler shop. SOOOO, heres what I did. I took the car to Gabe at Precision Muffler, (great guy, very careful). First thing we did was put flanges where needed for quick replacement time if I chose to do so. Then he put on one big X pipe for a new set up. (I now have the stock exhaust, with Paxton's X pipe as one unit, with flanges, set aside whenever I want stock again) We, or he, built a huge X pipe, and instead of dual 2 1/2 inch pipes going back, it is now a 3 inch pipe where the muffler was, then the Y back to the OBX mufflers. All with flanges to unbolt whenever. The sound is very cool,,,,,,,, much like a Jag XKE of the 60s, I know, showing my age. And when I get on it, it sounds real mean. (NOT CUTE, John S) . Anyway I'm going to post this now and edit and add pics, this is the third time I typed this, still learning here. ------------------ |
