I have been in touch with Ben West of Champion Trailer sales (thanks to George Jensen) http://www.championluggagetrailers.com out of Shreveport, LA. Check out the website and see these great little trailers. For a limited time he will take $100.00 off of the original price of the trailer without the tailgate (without shipping) to the POA members - just mention my name when you call and tell him you saw it here on the Prowler site. The trailer with the tailgate is $1,600.00 and I'm not sure if that reduction applies to that one or not. He would love to get some of these behind our prowlers. You can call Ben direct at 318/688-2787. We are planning on bringing ours to Cruisin the Smokies and will have his brochures with us then also. Thanks! Tami

Hi Wayne: These really are - George Jensen from the DFW gang has one and I really liked it when I saw it. Very stable - well built and for that price you definitely won't get hurt on it. You will need to get wheels, tires and tail lights for it - George put blue dots on his. Tami

I would not put that trailer behind my Prowler! The Prowler looks cool with the Prowler trailer.

TFischer, I would give that four thumbs up if I could . Inasmuch as I like the trailer made for the Prowler I find the price to be ridiculous. I would never pay the mrp for one so I will never have one. But this is reasonable and a great looking trailer to boot. It would be great if 17" rims would work but even that's not a problem. This is great and I see one in my future. Thanx for posting it! Jeff

Darcy: I believe its a 5 bolt Ford pattern. I was thinking about finding some Cragar style wheels (similar to the ones from the 70s) if possible - they look similar to the kat's. I'm going to send him an e-mail though and check to see if there is any way that he could use a mopar hub instead so rims for a prowler trailer would work. Tami

Yes,
the bolt pattern of a Ford is the same as the Prowler.
5 on 4.5 = 5 bolts on a 4.5" diameter circle.

Ed: They come unpainted in black gelcoat. You will have to have it painted to whatever color you want - silver would be good then I can borrow it! T

Glad U posted this msg. You just saved me $100. I have one ordered from Ben and will definitely hook to my Kat. I've been a street rodder for years. Several of my friends have Ben's trailers and use them frequently. They are very well built with lots of room and in my opinion look better then the OEM ones.
Plus the 15" prowler trailer wheels will fit and match the Kat's wheels.
Will buy U a drink some time!!

I just bought my trailer from Ben. He is very easy to deal with and my trailer will arrive the 21st.I think it will look very good behind my Prowler. Its a much better price than the Prowler trailer. Shipping to Arizona is 200.00.
Can't wait to get it. Thanks Ben

PJ, I can agree with nearly everything you say about these trailers. Excellent price / value. Good build quality and probably have more room. Also a very good looking trailer. But I'm sorry I have to disagree with you on one point, cause there is no freakin way these will look better behind the Prowler than the OEM Prowler trailer. Sorry I just could not let that opinion slide without comment. I would say so even if I didn't own one. JMO.

Tami, good job finding these and helping out Prowler owners.

What is the total after buying the trailer, paying shipping, painting it, buying rims and tires and taillights? I realize there are some variables, but what is ballpark?

Ed: Trailer $1300; shipping approx. $200; paint approx. $400; depending on what wheels rims (my pricing should be around $300 for cragar SS's and tires; lights $40. Approx. total $2240. These will never be the prowler trailers, but still are incredibly nice little trailers that trail well and look great. And I can use the other $2500 to put towards Jamie's college tuition this fall. We got to see Bob Lloyd's finished trailer at the Prescott car show last week,,,,,,looks great!!! Think Bob said he had a total of 2K in it,,,with the wheels. This unit is a big savings over the DC trailer,,,does the same thing, hauls stuff and crap!

Ed, yes Tami and I are related,,,,,,has something to do with mother's maiden name!

A/C, I find that extremely hard to believe. She seems extremely nice and is normal. lol.
Thanks for the trailer update. I may have to finally pull the trailer. I would buy one if I thought I would ever make it to an event.

A/C, I spent the entire day researching the last names Sasquatch and Big Foot and could find no connection to the name Tami FAYE Fischer. I guess it is okay for you two to get married since you are not related. THUD. That was Ken falling on the floor laughting at the thought.
