I received my stands last week and it is great easy to put on the trailer. And no trouble to stand it up, I thought I would have to get someone to help me be cause I cannot lift like I used to (AGE) but I did it my self. Thank Larry |

Thanks for your comments Jim. Lifting/tipping the trailer to the upright position is even easier than I thought it would be when I started the project. I'm glad that you're happy with your stand. This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 02-13-2002 at 10:24 AM |

Have not received my trailer yet so have not opened the stand box. Looking forward to trying the stand. I already know the small tight spot in the garage where I want to store the trailer. ------------------ |

Just picked up my trailer and put together the stand. Couldn't help but think "what an awesome invention!" It sure is easy to use and saves a lot space. ------------------ |

Larry Lord, Great trailer stand! I will try to remember to call you tomorrow to order one, along with hitch pin lock set (are they keyed the same?)...or can I order it online somehow...? I have not been able to find the car-bike-trailer-luggage rack combo devices that I want to use but HAVE 'invented' a design that would work perfectly...would you be interested in seeing a sketch and possibly fabricating some? (mostly just welding of commercially available parts...) Thanks again! p.s. You make anything else down there that my Dodge Ram 2500 can't live without...? ------------------ |

After asking for and receiving suggestions and comments about the FMB Upright Trailer Storage Stand and making the change to my own trailer stand I would like to suggest the addition of an extra bolt in each receiver bracket. A 5/16 hole should be drilled and a bolt installed 3" closer to the axle from the existing hole. The addition of the one bolt in each bracket will make your stand much more stable. This is only a suggested improvement. Your stand should work pefectly well without these bolts. However, if you plan on sliding your trailer sideways while upright, this will make your stand much more stable. I use a standard 5/16-18 x 3/4" bolt, lock washer and nut. ------------------ This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 06-11-2002 at 01:01 AM |

John Buehrle and Bob Harder, Your trailer stands and matching locksets for the coupler and ball mount went out on UPS today. John, Thanks for your orders! For others that don't know it yet,,,I also sell a matched set of locks for the Prowler trailer coupler and the Prowler trailer hitch ball mount. The lockset uses a barrel style key and is easily removed by just a 1/4 turn of the key. Don't forget to also order your trailer latch plate reinforcement kit when you order a stand. It's cheap insurance against the latch plate detaching from it's bond to the trailer. As others will tell you,,it's a sick feeling watching your stuff fly out of your trailer and onto the highway. Yes Steve, No problem using the cover or the bra while using the stand. The cover can be put easily be put on while the trailer is upright or horizontal. This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 06-19-2002 at 10:21 AM |
