Hey Ron - I hope they decide to make the trip! You all will have fun traveling together. Nothing like starting off an event with a line of Prowlers cruising down the road together! |

Info on Photos We have a professional photographer lined up to take pictures during our visit to the Kentucky Horse Park - probably somehwhere in the scenic polo fields area of the park. Cost will be: Panoramic Group shot - $ 45 The group photo will be one car of each color with all the people in attendance standing around/behind the cars. We will have a drawing to determine which cars get used for the photo. Photographers will take orders on site and you will then direct. We need an idea of how many will be interested because he needs a minimum number in order to book his time to be there on that date. PLEASE post here if you will be interested in buying a photo. Thanks |

I'd want a pano if my car was in it. Otherwise I'll have to settle for an 8x10. This message has been edited by 01Prowler on 03-17-2006 at 08:14 PM |

If my car's not in it I guess I don't see the point. But thanks anyway. When people look at my pic's in my office they always's ask where mine is,Then I show them.I guess I have enough pic's of other people's car's.And don't want pic's of Alley the cat and ED'S ugly mug's on my wall.(I do have a little pride) ------------------ |

The group pic is about the people in attendance. The individual pic can be the car or the car and owners. If we scout out the location at the Horse Park and can figure a way to assemble all the cars quickly I guess we could consider a group picture with all the cars. We would need someone to step up to organize it beacuse with just the Archers and Rebecca/myself as the planning committee we will be strecthed pretty thin as it is without adding more. |

Tom - I am sure we can arrange for you to purchase a picture of Alley Cat and/or his car. I'll even blow it up to any size you want! Large enough to glue to your dart board. |

Marty, I do not discredit all the hard work involved in setting up an event this size. And I'm sure your doing a great job. However if the Archer's could pick up the pace a little, then your life would be a little bit better. I know Gary could do more then just sit around all day. I think Gary is taking advantage of you and that is just wrong.(I'll talk to him latter)OK I have to behave now. Taking a pic of this many cars is a long project and is time consuming and for people setting up an event this size is a big headache. So I will do what Alley the cat tell's me to do and go along with the norm. ------------------ This message has been edited by meancat on 03-21-2006 at 09:07 PM |

Jerry - don't worry, you'll be in Bourbon Country, you won't even know how many Prowlers will be in the picture. |

Mr. Usher, Just curious, how far is Fort Knox from Louisville? Might be worth a side trip to this unique military facility! |

Quincy, it is less than an hour, as I recall. I am impressed that you think it is historic just because I was there for basic training and radio school. |

Well, an hours drive would be well worth it! If possible, can we add Fort Knox onto this summers event? Or, perhaps interested parties could take a side bar trip to the facility. Ed, were you in the signal corps? My dad was during WWII. I have some old photos of him 'at training camp', but never asked where he trained....it might have been Ft. Knox. I wonder, do they let you see all the gold stored there?? |

quincy - I can get some info on Fort Knox. They have the General George Patton Museum there for one thing. I can come up with a scenic route and we can make it a "on your own" sie trip for those that aren't interested in the local Louisville attractions or maybe on the day we go to the Corvette Plant and Mammoth Cave. These events are all about doig what YOU want. Our itinerary is merely our suggestion. Everyone is welcome to "do your own thing" and we will do all we cn to get you good info. |

Quincy, got drafted, took a battery of tests, intentionally screwed up the Morse Code test and of course I wound up in radio school back at Ft. Knox. After 7 weeks of the 10 week course they sent me to Ft. Gordon for 11 (?) more weeks of advanced morse code, typing, encryption and securing a Secret Clearance. After 18 weeks or possibly 21 weeks of school I never saw a radio again. There are several places for signal school, by the way. I don't remember all of them. You can't get anywhere near the gold, as I recall. |

Ain't no gold left as far as I know! I thought you learned smoke signals in your training?? |

That too. There were rumors that there was no gold there in 1965. Who knows. Where did it go? |
