Ed - may still be katless at that time. Dyno and tuning may take longer than originally planned. Rebecca & I may ride up top watch anyway. |

Marty, I hereby declare that it is past time for you to catch a GOOD break. Hopefully it will get done more quickly than scheduled or anticipated. We are looking forward to seeing you. You can take my cat for a couple of laps. |

6 days. We can discuss this Monday at the parade but tentatively I am planning on arriving at 2 PM. Leave Cincy about 1 PM. Catavanning down the back way? US 42 is pretty scenic. |

Four days to go. We decided to meet at the Museum Center/Union Terminal at 1 PM and Catavan down. We will be there right about 2 PM for those of you coming from the south or west. So far I know Bob & Janet Rodenfels and a friend in a Cobra, Andy Rapach, Kerry McManus, me, Larry Cohn (possibly in his Viper) are coming from Cincy. I also think Ed Weber from N. KY is planning on attending. Dale from Lexington. Marty? GPS? Gary C? Larry Mayes? Now all we need is good weather. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 04-01-2003 at 04:19 AM |

That is totally different state!! lol. I haven't checked yet. If it is lousy, we will not be going. I don't know the zip code there, but Cincinnati is 45202 downtown, which is pretty close. High of 58, partly cloudy, 20 % chance of rain for Saturday. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 04-03-2003 at 01:34 AM |

Two Important things We will be getting there at 2 PM Easter DAYLIGHT time. I forgot this is the weekend we move the clocks forward. Secondly, the bluegrass band is playing tonight (Friday) and not tomorrow night. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Sorry about that confusion. |

As we head for Nevada I have given a passing thought to stopping at Ky. Speedway on the way (only an outside chance as of now) I have had my resident weatherologist keeping track and she gave me this link! http://www.crh.noaa.gov/data/forecasts/KYZ030.php?warnzone=kyz030&warncounty Weather here probably will prevent our leaving early enough to make it! |

Marty, we have had an ice storm today, more tonite then snow later, although the heavy stuff (7-11") will be to the north. Depends on where the line is and how icy/snowy roads are when it is time to leave. Would like to see you guys. |

Ed it is really wierd here right now, truly thunder and lightening, rain, sleet, snow all at the same time, and everything is iced over and 40,000 people without power..maybe 7-11 inches of snow 30 miles north of here. I know I can get out tomorrow, but at this minute it is like we are in the middle of a big snow cone. |

We had a hard rain and a lot of lightning which started at about 11 PM, I think. The temp had been about 70 before the storm and about 55 after it. I had the radio on WLW for the REDS game and when we got back in the car we heard the "Truckin Bozo" which goes out almost nationwide. The people calling in from up East were telling real horror stories about the ice, etc. I think the upper half of Ohio and PA got hammmered, too. Hope it clears out by morning and dries up. It has already stopped raining here. |

What a blast! Four kats, 2 Vipers, 1 427 Cobra, and a Lamborgini. Ed was kind (nuts) enough to let me take several hot laps at 100 + around the the track in his kat. The track workers drove and rode in some of our cars and Ed took a ride in the pace truck once. A Yellow Viper (I was a rider) and the Lambo were side by side at 130 down thgew back stretch at one point. The track workers must have let us take 25 extra laps. It was pretty kool!! Thanks for arranging it Ed!! Nice meeting everyone! ------------------ This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 04-06-2003 at 11:48 AM |

Marty, it actually got wilder after you left. I went back down to the track 30 minutes after you left and they were filming from the back of a pick up. The two Vipers and the Lambo. Film at 11. Andy will post pictures. They can't wait for us to come back in November. I drove 4 laps total, all day. My car did about 30 laps. I was in the pace pick up that got passed by a Viper and the Lambo. What a blast. For anyone that did not come, you missed a GREAT day. I just got home. Thanks for coming up Marty and Dale (Blubyu). Bob Rodenfels will be smiling until at least the 4th of July. Kerry McManus was also there. We had a Cobra, a Lambo, 2 Vipers, 4 or 5 Prowlers and a mini van. Thanks for coming and I know you all had a great time. Here are some pix from the Speedway, I'll get them all together soon but these are some of my favorites. The safety crew was great and enjoyed some riding and driving (Ed's car) too!! We had an unbelievable time on the track. I drove my Viper and had a video camera mounted in the cab facing forward. As soon as I can digitize some clips I'll post them on my website and let all know where the are. Larry (Yellow Viper) also had a video camera for filming outside and got some great shots of us on the track. Here is the link to all of the pix I took at the Speedway on my website:
