My son and I are staying at the Hyatt Regency Miami. We are arriving late on the 20th. We will have all day on the 21st to tour or whatever. There are some advantages of turning 62 this year. Hyatt has a senior rate for 62 and over of $99.00 per night. Are there any plans for the 21st? We may try and join you. |

Jim, We get in around 5:00PM on the 21'st and are staying at the Wyndam Grand Bay. Once we know all the hotels and arrival times I'm sure we can come up with something. Hopefully we will all be around the harbor. |

Sea Cruise Attendees: Some folks are flying in and some are driving; some arriving on the 20th, some the 21st, and some on the day we depart on the cruise --- the 22nd. One couple is even arriving a week early to stretch this into a two-week cruise. (We're jealous!) So it would be difficult to set up a pre-cruise event to accommodate all. But in early January we'll post a list of all places where we know that people are staying and the dates they arrive. Friday evening will probably be the best time to try to get together. If one of you wants to pick a meeting place and time, go for it. Both the Hyatt and the Wyndham are close to the harbor in nice locations. Lynn & I won't get in until late Friday (21st), but if you're still partying when we get in, we'll join you. Ben Catalina |

No need to post cabin numbers here. Once you check in on the ship, Lynn & I will provide each cruiser with a list of all attendees, which will include cabin numbers and deck location. You will also be given a schedule of all Prowler events. As far as shore excursions go, we will schedule on-board Prowler activities to occur before or after time in the port, so there will be no interference. So you're free to sign up for any shore excursion you desire. However, wait until mid-January to do this. Between now and then, we will provide you with some recommendations. Plus you can always sign up on the ship after you've met your fellow cruisers and agreed on some mutually fun things to do. We have a couple of special snorkeling adventures you may want to consider, as well as a special beach in St. Maarten. And if you're thinking about searching for some jewelry bargains, we have a friend with a jewelry store in St. Thomas that has top quality and beats everyone's prices. And we can give you some money-saving hints for digital cameras, etc. This is shaping up to be a fun event with a great group of eager cruisers. We're only 61 days away! In the meantime, Happy Holidays to All. Ben |

We are booked at the Double Tree Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay. Anyone know how far this is from the port? |

MeanCat: That DoubleTree is only 2.5 miles to the Port of Miami. Less than a $10 taxi ride. Great location. For others needing this info, the Port of Miami is located at 1015 N. America Way, Miami, FL. Go to http://www.mapquest.com and you can find directions from any hotel to the Port, and give you an idea of your location in Miami. Lots of info on shore excursions AND very important info on cruise documentation paperwork will be emailed to each attendee no later than Tuesday, January 14. Call us on any questions or email. IF you haven't gotten your shirt order info in to me with your checks, I need that this week. The order must be closed out on Jan. 18th. Thanks. Ben Catalina |

To the Sea Cruisers: This is one of the optional shore excursions I mentioned in my email. Thought you'd like to see this ad we received. We have been on the Wild Thing and thoroughly enjoyed it and plan to do it again. You'll love the speed! Ben & Lynn The Wild Thing - The Ultimate Virgin Islands Adventure Yes, that's right The Wild Thing! The name says it all! 4,000 Horsepower of untamed FUN! If you want to see the Virgin Islands this is the ONLY way to go! This one-of-a-kind 149-passenger trimaran whips you through all the VI has to offer. Our entertaining staff will keep your senses honed and your funny bone tickled, as we cruise the south side of St. Thomas. The staff regales you with tales of pirate lore before you arrive at your first destination, between two uninhabited cays in the pristine and azure waters of the Caribbean. Here we drop anchor and provide you with snorkel gear and expert instruction (for non-snorkelers we have floaties, to soak your troubles away). Here you will encounter marine life in crystalline waters not to be found at ANY other off shore snorkeling site. You will have ample time to swim, snorkel or just "lime out". Our expertly trained staff will be hovering near by to ensure your safety. Once everyone has seen all the Caribbean has to offer we re-board to rock'n good tunes and unlimited, lethal rum punch. Now we embark on a trip to one of St. Thomas' only undeveloped white sand beaches. It's all yours, do as you please! Walk the soft powdery sand beach hand and hand, float in the soul nurturing waters, or "lime out" under a shady palm tree. The punch is flowing, the music is playing... what better way to spend your afternoon on St. Thomas?!? After a picture- perfect day at the beach, its time to make waves back to your ship and we don't hold back! We cut lose the throttles and take you on a hair whipping, heart pounding jaunt back to the historical district of Charlotte Amalie. Be prepared to dance and party down to all the feel- good sounds of your generation, as your cruise ship looms in the distance and we make a beeline to the dock! A day on the "Wild Thing" is sure to be the highlight of any trip to St. Thomas. |

OK, really stupid question time here... I think I signed up for the cruise critic party (see page1 post by Ca Phil) but I can't seem to find any information other than for myself and it says there are 100 people signed up. Am I missing somethin' here? How do we sign up as the POA group or doesn't it matter? Can't find anything about the other people signed up. (Really confused here) |

John, Don't worry about that Cruise Critic party. We are all signed up for it. You will be notified by a note in your cabin of the date & time. Since Phil was the first to sign up for it, he "may" be listed as group leader and "may" get an email prior to the cruise notifying him of the date/time. Regardless, you are covered. Also, that party is no biggee. Just punch and snacks and is designed to be an ice-breaker-greet-n-meet kinda thing. All the Prowler gang is invited to it, as are others on the cruise who signed up at the RCCL site. That's why there are over 100 people signed up so far. Way to go Leon! 32 more days... Ben |
