It's pretty sad when someone form hundreds of miles away directs me a restaurant less than 1 1/2 miles from where my kids live. I go by it at least 4 or 5 times a week. Looking foward to May 17th getting here. We will get rid of all the bad weather before then. Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Ed. Originally, I wanted to see if we could make it... However, our plans have changed... One of our daugthters is Graduating from college in Sacramento & we had planned to fly out... Well, the Northern Ca. group is having a wine country cruise & Sears Point raceway cruise the weekend after her graduation... So, we decided to leave on May 20th for California for two weeks & than back through Colorado for the Colorado event.... Yall have a good time & we'll see some of you in Colorado... ------------------ |

Laddie, I hate to hear you are not going to be able to make it. You are a mainstay. You are driving the cat, I presume. You will be sorry when you hear you missed really good cajun food, that is not readily available in your area. lol. ------------------ |

Thank God I did not buy one of those COMMON Black or Yellow ones. lol Laddie, my kids would be all over your case if they knew what you were doing. I used to tell them we had to drive off the beaten path so I could be in all 50 states. They wouldn't let me count it until I drove thru a state or stayed overnight. I finally did them all, but not in the Prowler, of course. I am in the mid 30's on the bike. Sorry you won't be in Louisville but we'll see you in Colo. Niteman, glad to see you guys are coming. Your warped humor will be a welcome relief for me. Marty, the original Skyline store is closing the end of next week. They built a new one a few blocks away. I have been eating that stuff for 50 years or moer. I will take a 3 way, and two with cheese, no onions. ------------------ This message has been edited by ed monahan on 04-11-2002 at 09:34 PM |

Gene - for most of you all attending it is a trip. For me the work part of planning will be over by the time you get here and we'll all have fun together. As far as the drugs go, I refuse to talk about my youth - I am not running for office - I will however be open to being bribed with alcohol (assuming Rebecca is there to drive) for consideration of specific locations for your car in the infield. Could one (or some of your Eastern people respond to Tom Cat's (Wayne Baker)post in the event section. He is driving to Louisville from the Boston area, departing on Wednesday. I thought perhaps he could hook up with someone or all of you on Thursday/Friday for the drive to Louisville. Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Just got an email asking about the Churchill Downs Car Show and if individuals can enter because they have some friends with Superbirds. I think it will pretty cool to have them displayed along side our Prowlers and Vipers. I hope they decide to participate. Marty |

Last evening Gary Archer and myself were checking out our possible cruise route for Friday May 17th evening and road by a small (10 to 15 acre) horse farm owned by some college friends of mine. Cindy happened to out cutting grass and we stopped to talk. To make a long story short, she invited us to stop there when we cruise and we can tour their barn with about six horses now. Their farm is a small facility where Cindy gives competition instuctions, training, etc. In any case it is a beautiful setting and we will have wine & cheese while we stay there for 30 to 45 minutes. Gary - please notice that I left out the part how you wouldn't get out of the car to reduce weight so I could have a rematch with the Blown Mustang that took us with a rolling start...
