Troy, I live in Virginia Beach, VA. Bought my Woodward locally three years ago after letting the Kat and matching trailer sit at the dealer for a full year with a $50K added dealer markup on it. Finally bought it when they took the stupid add on sticker off. Well, looks like we will not have any trouble selling our Kats - rights of first refusal granted to matching Dr. Ru's Mike |

It's fun doing donuts in a snow covered parking lot. It draws a lot of attention however! The Prowler actually handles fairly well in snow for a rear wheel drive car. You just need to know it's limitations. I try to spray off the undercarriage after driving on salt covered roads, but figure the car will be worn out from daily driving long before the salt eats through the frame - I hope so anyway. ------------------ |

Mike, If yours is in the pin strip like mine, turn off the lights in the garage and hold a spot light at an angle until the # jumps out at you. Be holding your digital camera until it comes in clear. Then snap the shot!! Try that, it should work. I did try to take 10 pictures before I got the one I wanted. Let me know. Troy This message has been edited by Troy Gaston on 02-09-2004 at 10:46 PM |

Troy...The prowler is no worse than any of my Camaros were in the snow. One thing I noticed is how important it is to check tire pressure in the winter. The tires drop pressure dramatically because there's not much room for air in the tires with the beefy sidewalls. Tire pressure drops 1 PSI for every 10 degrees temp drop, but my wife's T-Bird will drop 2 PSI where my Prowler will drop 6 or 7 PSI in the same condition! I bring this up as I noticed terrible traction when the tires were low on pressure as the only thing grabbing the street was the beefy sidewalls and the meat in the center of the tire wasn't grabbing....I pumped them back up to 30 PSI and noticed much better grip. I wash the salt off with a warm garden hose stowed in the basement when needed...which was every day for weeks on end last year! It helps to know salt corrosion is aided by temp, so in the cold months, the salt won't eat away at the aluminum as much, but when Spring comes, it better be washed off thoroughly. I also have to keep an eye on parts of the frame which trap moisture/ salt. I also have to pop the hood and dry off the front crossmember(?) (in front of the battery) as water pools there... As far as the exhaust hanging low, it seems right to me...I think they fall about 2 inches below the bumper...at least I know the bumnpers won't warp from the heat? |

Instead of a dead blow hammer, I used a small bottle jack and a block of wood against the frame. Just jacked it right off. ~bg |
