Phil's smiling face is what I'll remember most. What a genuinely nice man. When I look at this photo of him and his son from the '03 gathering at Auburn, IN I'll smile. |

I'm at the airport in Kansas City heading home so Rebecca and I can drive to Richmond. We will not get there until about 6:45 PM. I think it's nice that a number of Prowler Owners will be there to show Phil's family how much he meant to us! |

We attended the memorial service tonight. It was a very nice evening. Phil's family was very appreciative of all the nice posts on this thread. His mom was there and I talked to her for awhile. She really appreciated the posts. His entire family is very impressive and a reflection of Phil, very nice, down to earth folks. I know TUIB and Mr. Ed & Vicki were there before we arrived and Frank & Maria Peri from Canada and Jersey Shore Sharon and Will Bill from NJ, Wildcat & Sue Mayes, CJ & Bob and Mike Gatlin from Mich, Marty & Rebecca from KY, Carol Braughton and Rod Endsley and us from OH, and I think I am forgetting someone. Again, it was very nice and his family were very appreciative of us showing up and posting our thoughts. Phil was one of the great ones. Quiet but got it done. R I P Phil, we miss you and will never forget you |

It was good to see Phil, I was amazed of all the Prowler Items that were displayed, even Phils car was there. Talked with Phil's Mom for some time, for being 88 she is a doll. It was nice meeting Sharon and seeing friends I haven't seen in some time. Sorry I couldn't control my emotions better. Phils riding on smooth roads and a endless supply of fuel for more miles of smiles. We miss you. |

GaryC, sorry I left your name off the list. I edited it part the way thru and was putting in folks by the states. I guess I goofed up. I thought you were still in the post. Sorry. |

Gary, Once in a great while when I try to re-type something, there is an automatic deletion. For each letter I type, one disappears. I started out putting the names of who was there first and then started adding where they were from, especially the folks that travelled a fair distance. Then it looked like you and Frank & Maria were all from Canada. I decided to lump them by states and took your name out to be added to the "locals". I thought I double checked it. I don't have a clue why the automatic deletion occurs every great once in awhile but it does it here on POA and on emails at times. Anyway, I appologize for not getting it correct the first time. You were on the list but I changed the format of my post and screwed it up. I know you were there for almost the full 4 hours since you were there before us and left slightly before us. Good seeing you again, you look good (well you look good considering what you have to work with, lol) |
