This forum is for discussing and, organizing GROUP PRODUCT PURCHASES.............. so let's see how far off the ground this one goes. A few exchanges have taken place via p.m.'s with the new TGF rep, Catherine McAdam, which consisted of this info: My original question: Her response:
Hardtops list @ $2960.... this should reduce it to Thanks to Catherine and TGF for the offer! |

Wow Geno...This is something I was hopeing would happen...but DANG...timing is just not going to make it happen for me right now...Just bought my Orange beauty last September and I made a promise to my other half that no major mods would be done until we have her paid for. I've expressed an interest here in the past that I had to have a hardtop someday...and at least 3 folks have contacted me about selling theirs to me...but...I made a promise. 30 more months to go before payoff. If I'm correct...If you get a product from TGF, it can be bought unpainted, which is the way I'll be getting all my mods. I want em all painted at the same time, for a better paint match. Maybe some other folks would want to do theirs this way...If you don't mind, ask Catherine what one unpainted would cost, with this 10% deal???????? |

Geno, depending on when this all comes together, I may be interested, Maybe. According to the TGF price list, when ordering a cradle, the cover is included. I take it that they are throwing in a cradle with the hard top at no extra charge and still giving the 10% deal on the top? Hope that Catherine can clarify the deal they will be offering. Thank you Geno in your effort to help out your fellow POA members. I hope you find more than 10 takers. |

lol...no. Top is discounted 10%....cradle (which comes with the cover) is normal price.... okay, we'll put you on the list for adding up to 10, with no commitments made yet.... Just trying to get a feel if there ARE 10 new interested parties here. Thx for the response. |

I got this email today: Good Morning, Cathrine forwarded your e-mail relating to the 10 orders of hardtops. Shipping for hardtops is usually approximately $240.00. All hardtops are shipped freight collect which means that you pay the freight when it arrives at your door. We can ship with who ever you desire. We usually use Guarantee Freight. I'm not sure if they are the cheapest. If you want to research other freight companies the specifications for this item is: 60 x 50 x 18 crate. Weight: 150 lbs. Cathrine also mentioned that you will be submitting 10 different orders at one time. Is this correct? Will all these be going to separate addresses? If they are please relay the information concerning freight. Thank you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at your convenience. Nani Harvey UPDATE: I just got a quote from DHL for $140 This message has been edited by idive on 05-02-2006 at 12:00 PM |

Geno, As much as I would like to have a top, I will not be able to swing it this year. Sorry! Higher priority expenses are taking the money. Thank you for your efforts on this for the Prowler family. |

The price list GenoTex is using was dated 6-21-02. There is a new price list effective 5-22-06. AE108 Hard Top (painted) is $3108.00. AE110 Hard Top Cradle (includes storage cover) is $189.00. Take the 10% discount on the top, add the cradle, tax and shipping and that's what the cost will be. They do a beautiful and quality job on the top.

reg price $3108 (5% increase over old price) 10% off deal $2797.20 (save $310.80) cradle/cover $189 Shipping about $140 via DHL (my choice - TGF's choice is about $240) total cost with 10% off $2986.20 + shipping $3126.20 I'm in, but I'm also looking for a trailer at a reasonable price (wish me luck). And my van is on its last legs and needs to be replaced. It won't be replaced with anything new, but I can't afford it all, and I'll be out of a job shortly. If we can get this going before I run out of money, I'll take a top. Count me in. As for liner color, I noticed Catherine stated black was an option. I have heard that the lighter platinum liner made it look a little brighter inside. I like that. I know she said their supplier stopped making it in that color. Can't they find another supplier that would make it in platinum, maintaining QC? IMO, I would go with the lighter color, at least one very similar if we can't get the platinum. If not, a more matching one to the agate interior as opposed to black. I would also like more detailed info on the new pins and how they are better and how they resolve the issues. |
