I bought my Prowler with no bumpers and the Chrysler dealer would not certify the car . Said they could get in trouble as you must have bumpers in Ontario. So I took it to a friend and he certified it no problem. |

quote: Here is a picture of my rear bumper modification as NullMind requested. The stock bumpers were stripped, cut down and powder coated black before being re-installed on the rear of the car. I considered getting a full rear belly pan but decided not to because I still wanted some protection for the rear of the car in case of being rear ended. Remember, the gas tank sits right behind our heads in a Prowler. My bumperettes are just as strong as the stock bumpers, they just don't stick out past the rear tires. I believe I am the only one that has done this modification. A few years ago, I think Real Rod offered some thin chrome bumperettes for the rear of the car but I think they were more for cosmetics than protection. As for the front of the car, I removed the front bumpers and designed custom LED turn signals to replace the ones that were in the bumpers. Prowl on, everyone. |

Although I like the Stock look for me - Golfy has a distinct and different look with his rear bumpers. I kinda like them - have seen them in person. Golfy - see you in the fall! Pierre |

I'm thinking of getting some of the chromoly aero tubing and making a set for myself. Stuff runs about $26 a foot. Time spent on building and chrome plating, I can see why they are expensive. |
