Anyone know what a prowler pedal car in decent shape would be worth? I think they are fairly rare. |

Thanks prowlercar! Those are from 7 to 10 years ago. I was looking for a current value but I guess they are too rare to have an established value. |

I picked one up a couple years ago for $150 in mint condition. I think they were slightly more than that brand new. I know we attempted a group purchase to get a re-run of them a few years back but the price was pretty high (around $400+ I believe) There were not enough takers to make it happen. |

I think they only made about 300 of them in all, so they are pretty rare. And they rarely come up for sale. I have a yellow one. The purple one pictured above is the first one I've seen in that color. If somebody was able to get the pedal car UNDER $200 (which I know was WAY BELOW the original selling price), then they got a STEAL. I bought mine about 5 or 6 years ago and I paid in the area of $1200 to $1300 for it THEN. Taking into account the initial low production involved and the rarity of passing hands, then I'm sure and certain that they are currently worth WELL OVER what I paid. |

I read somewhere that there were only 40 made. Don't know if that is accurate. |

When I bought mine from Chris I was under the understanding only a dozen made it to the public. Mainly just the body. Not a cheap toy either. |

I found a yellow Prowler body at Auburn last year for $30. I have an old fire tuck pedal car that I plan to remove body and install the yellow Kat body on it. ------------------ |

So anywhere from $30 to $1300 and a production of 10 to 400. Thanks for narrowing it down for me guys lol. Seriously though, thanks! This is a good research project for someone. |

Many people on this site and the other one, are people who see the Prowler as more than just a mere car and more than just transportation. So Prowler related items such as "ponds" or peddle cars would be much more valuable to someone like us and we know the rarity of these items and their value. Folks who have no investment in the car or don't care about its history or oncoming collector status will be willing to sell their Prowler items at a MUCH LOWER PRICE. But did anyone catch the recent Barrett-Jackson auction?? Sitting next to the big GM Futureliner vehicle was a small one, about the size of a Prowler peddle car.... When I bought my peddle car, I was willing to pay more cause I knew these things didn't come up for sale very often and the seller wasn't backing down. So I had to bite the bullet. But just look at an episode of "Pawn Stars" or "American Pickers" and see what old, ORIGINAL car stuff is going for!!! |

I have a red unpainted Prowler Pedal Car fiberglass body and front fenders. I need to find someone to build me a chassis. I don't care if it pedals or not. In fact I would like to make it into a radio control and have it painted like our Prowler. |
