I don't know who that is in the purple shirt with the grey beard. That is MeanGene in the background next to him, Dusti & Heiki, Linda Miles, Maria Cody, Marie Peri, Tom Miles, GenoTex and Laddie Roussell with the camera.
In the other picture that is Brad "presenting" the keys to Mickey, or vice versa. (Vice might be the key word) lol

Man, what can i say after all the remarks from fellow members. Shocked by this news you are sharing with the POA family of friends.

Only 2 weeks since Mickey posted about his health problems. I know he said it started earlier, but it sure makes you think how fast things can change for any of us. Please everyone, try to stay healthy, but do get out and enjoy your life as you never know when or what might happen.

From an email I received from Wynde, a close friend of Mickey, Hopefully we can get a good turn out.

Dear Family & Friends,


It is with deepest regret that I inform you that my husband's long time friend, Mickey Schied lost his battle with cancer just a few days ago. He was in MD Anderson Hospital suffering from some respiratory problems associated with his cancer. My husband, Michael Merritt and I were with him constantly and he died peacefully holding my hand.
There will be a Memorial service on Tuesday August 19th @ 11 am at Autumn Creek Baptist Church at 6735 Barker Cypress Road, Houston, TX 77084, if any of you would like to join Mickey's family & friends as they remember him that day. The ladies of his church will prepare a luncheon immediately following the services. If you need additional information, please email me back or you can call Mike or Wynde. Please keep everyone in your prayers I know this is a difficult time for all.

Just got back home today from the Funeral Church Service.
I want to thank ALL the POA Members that showed up to pay their respects for Mickey and his family. We had a great showing !
Good to see a few i don't get much of a chance to see much , and wish it was on a Better Occasion .
The Family really appreciated us ( Mickeys Extended Family on the POA) that we took the time out of our daily lives to pay tribute.
Take Care Mickey RIP, you will be remembered !
