Folks rant and rave about McDonald's, Wal-Mart, etc. making way too much money and cheating the employees, making themselves rich, instead of sharing the wealth. How is this different? Someone is overcharging by quite a bit, making ungodly profits and some folks are defending him that normally go ballistic over this stuff. On the flip side, I think folks who are smart and work hard should make more than someone who is lazy and not too sharp. I don't like to get ripped off and I don't like to see friends get ripped off, either. If we share our experiences folks can make up their own minds. It is their money, they earned it and can spend it as they like. That said, we have a lot of good vendors on POA and I would hope most folks would support them to keep things in production. Shop where you like. We are all adults here and can make our own decisions. Input helps, so keep us advised about your experiences dealing with these folks. |

Just for the record. I bought my chrome trans cooler cover from Gary E, my boot from Pantera, bumpers from Buddy C, silver front bumpers from a member, both trailers from members and something from Onecat. Bought smaller items from POA vendors as well point is I'm talking about items no one else is offering. Also if you buy an item from P/Store how is that hurting Vendors on this site? If they are not offering these products it isn't. Most people are not going to cut their nose off to spite their face. If I were to take my bumpers off I would definitely get the Tom Mills replacement. You only live once and if the P/Store offers a product that no other on site vendor is offering and I want one then I'm gonna get one. Is there something wrong w/my argument? |

quote: Did you get your answer? lol. (2 pages later) Very little hostility here from most members. Just a bunch of good advice. There was a thread posted a few days ago that was trashing a vendor based on the poster's own experience. It was quickly deleted, I assume, by the moderators. That should be a good indication of what is acceptable on this site. The prowler store has all their pricing fully disclosed. It simply is a money issue. Like silverkat says, If they have what you want at a price you can live with, they are a good vendor for you. |

quote: That's why I (OP) have just let this discussion run it's course. Evidently, there are underlying issues and emotions regarding choice of vendors with similar names. It probably is a good thing that these opinions are expressed openly and consolidated in one Thread. Future reference can be easy to depict the different schools of thought and buyers can form their own opinions and make an informed decision of choice of vendor support or not. I do agree that whether intentional or not, the use of a business name that mirrors a pre-existing name is certainly questionable and can be construed as misleading. A free market economy will alway find balance to what is considered equitable value. The protection of product design is always at risk regardless of whether the product is copied domestically or from an overseas entity (China). We would hope that domestic producers would respect the time and effort to engineer and then produce items especially for a small niche market but this is not always the case. This is a fact that is not exclude to the Prowler aftermarket. Caveat Emptor BTW- Thanks again to the members that shared their opinions and links to what is currently on the market. I welcome you all to continue with the Thread to post vendor comparisons or simply share your experiences as you find to be appropriate to the direction this conversation has drifted. |

I'm very new to what may be available for my "NEW PROWLER". I have visited some limited "Prowler" sites. I did find the PROWLER STORE. What I like about the PROWLER STORE is the amazing amounts of products available. Yes, they are on the Pricey side but as I have heard on this discussion is that the prices are up front and no one is forcing you to buy anything. I have already purchased some small items and had no issues. I may continue to purchase but will be careful what I purchase. It is interesting to read the discussions on this site!! |

Yes, I have surfed the site. Don't understand what is going on here. Is this site operated by the ProlerOnline.Com members? |

There is a Prowler Store link at top of this page for POA Prowler Store. It is run by members on this site. The other site is called THE Prowler Store, not connected to this site at all. If you didn't click on the link above, you haven't been to POA Prowler store. |

Maybe missing the point here but why would you want to cover the cooler? The Prowler was designed so you can see the underpinnings from the rear for a reason. It does look unfinished I admit but that is what it was supposed to look like? Like a home grown rod? I could understand if it was from a damage point of view. When I bought my Prowler it came with a cooler cover, flat panel with holes in it. First thing I took off....it sits in a box in the shed. |

It's just another appearance mod Dave. To each his own.I never thought of the prowler look to be a home built rod. That's an interesting perspective. |

It's more than just an appearance mod. It serves to protect from road rocks bouncing up and damaging the fins as well as protects the cooler from damage when backing or even sometimes things you may run over on the road. |

I'm sorry I posed the question! But I just bought some headrest covers for $155 vs the $239 they want . So I will look for better deals but if they have something I want but can't find I will get it from them. It is the American way! |
