Welllll, that was an experience! TGF could have made the openings a little bigger, but that would have made the install too easy. It was a real challenge to get the washers and nuts on the pins. It was a bigger challenge to try and get them snugged up. An oblong hole a couple of inches in width would have made it a 15 minute install. Not sure I have actually got them to optimum adjustment yet. Definitely much better, but extremely hard to fine tune the adjustment. Any 'tips' on getting everything exactly right? |

Ed, here the tools I use 13mm , and yes it's a pain to get the washers and the nuts on the pins through that small access hole in the hardtop...I'm looking through the Snap-On catalogue to see if theres a better solution to access the the pins on the inside.. |

Thanks Don. I took the Cat out for a long drive this weekend. Took two .13m wrenches with me for fine adjustments along the way. It sure would have been nice, as we discussed in email messages, if they would have made the holes oblong, and about 2 inches in width. We would have been able to 'use' the wrench on the top of the pins, instead of just getting a hold on the nuts. Still trying to get it exactly right, but your setup sure has made it fun to have the hardtop on the car. After all that money, it should be fun, right! Thanks Don. |

Don, Do you still have any of those Nylock washers or the special washer that allows for flex that you mentioned. I have the longer TGF pins now, yet haven't installed them on the top. Too busy modifying hitch and now repairing the trailer I just got. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Randy |
