The world hopes the best for all of you.

What amazed me most was the people sitting still on the interstate while all the locals roads stayed almost empty. Anyone need a map?

Glad for everyone it wasn't as bad as predicted.

They had the exit ramps closed so people could not get off the freeways, even if you had reached your destination, or just needed to get off to find gas. Their thinking was this would keep traffic moving out of town.

Backhome in Sugarland/Hstn now, came back before the rush of 2.5 MILLION people.
>trip up to my other hse is 217 miles/ normal N.S. is 3 1/2 hrs ..............took 15 F#@*N HRS.
they waited too long to open up counter flow lanes!

I had no problem ,

Boy did we get lucky. This is my tenth straight day of work, the last four being 16 hour days, I'm just doing some catch up work this afternoon, then going home.

It 104 degrees today, with heat index of 117. It was 106 yesterday. Not one drop of rain here throughout the storm. We were running shelter duty for storm evacuees, and traffic duty on Hwy 6 both for those leaving, now for those coming back. I've never seen so many people in this area!!!

We could have had it much worse, and were supposed to, until the storm turned east. Please pray for our neighbors!!
