I was a memeber of the PPC and The Prowler Club of Canada and just came right along with the switch over. I was actually asked to leave the PPC for being too opinionated! Go Figure! |

During the first few days of the POA [July, 2000],,,Larry Lord called to inform me of a new Prowler website where free speech would be welcomed, instead of free speech being censored or deleted, like at the now defunct PPC. I jumped at the chance to get involved with recruiting people from the PPC over to the POA. Sent hundreds of emails to PPC members,,,telling them how to change the channel to a exciting new website dedicated to Prowler owners,,,not one taking advantage of them. The timing was right and I knew I found a home. Thank you Mike, Judy, and Tony |

We moved from Utah to Georgia in 1985. In Utah I had a 29 Ford Street Rod which I sold to help finannce the new home in GA. The plan was to get another street rod someday. After several antique and muscle cars I was neevr really happy with I saw a picture of the Prowler concept and fell in love. But I had heard that they were selling for $80 to $100 K so I did not have much hope of owning one. I saw my first one at the 1998 Auto Show. I had reverese sticker shock and swore I would have one within a year. We purchased ours April 15 1999. Sometime after I went on the net to see what I could find about any clubs and/or Prowler infoand found the PPC. Stayed there for a while. Then I heard of the POA had started. I immediately went over and checked it out. Posted both places equally for some time. At some point the activity on the PPC began to quickly decline so I was posting more on the POA than the PPC. It was a natural transition as the PPC pretty much died before Tom Kalski threw in the towel. |

I saw a drawing of the Prowler, showed it to the wife, and told her that it would be nice if they actually made it, (knowing there was no way they would). When I found out they were going to build it, I had to have one. I've never been much of a car guy. Yea, I could appreciate a nice car and all, but never had one of my own. I just got something to get me where I needed to go. There was just something about the Prowler that called my name. I kept up on when they were coming out, started saving my money, and found out which dealers were getting one, and when they were being delivered. I happened to call one of the dealers not 5 minutes after they delivered what was to be Mike's first Prowler. I went right to the dealer. The car was in getting shined up before heading into the showroom. The trailer was already cleaned and ready for inspection. After being the 3rd person to sit in that car, (before Mike even saw it), and getting filmed by a news crew, and making my own offer on it and the 4 others that were delivered locally, I had to wait the rest of the year, watching them slowly disappear from my grasp, one by one, before my offer was finally accepted at one of the other dealers, just about a month after Mike got his. After laying out all I had on the car, I got laid off my job a week later. I was a lonely Prowler owner the first 5 years. Oh, I had searched online a few times, off and on, for a Prowler club out there somewhere... I ran across the PPC, but didn't like what I found. Strangely, one day on the way to my dealer for some warranty work, I ran across 2 other Prowlers along the service road at one intersection. All 3 of us going separate ways, and just happening to be there at the same time. People were getting out of their cars and looking at us. The good looking blonde in the black one wouldn't even look over at me when I got along side her... Wasn't you, was it Judy? Then, one day, on one of my searches for a Prowler club, up popped a link about the upcoming opening visit of the Prowler Museum. HOT DAMN! I STRUCK GOLD! I followed up on that link, and I even got to see that first Prowler I saw and sat in once again... and as so many others have said before me, the rest is history... The best part of it all is that, that history is also the future... |

back 5 years ago, was looking to get myself a hot rod or a muscle car, just sold my 76 corvette after 2 years of proud ownership. was looking on the net to see what was available and for what price..... stopped for a C5 or a prowler, but at the time too expensive for me couldn't have the money and the insurance wouldn't insured me anyway because i was younger than 30... bought my 1969 camaro RS street rod instead, and after came a Buell XB9S to join my chevy in my garage. 3 months ago the idea of importing a car came back to my mind, the dollars so low against pounds, beeing busy at my job, i looked back thrue my old bookmark and posted a request on POA and for a C5 Z06 on vette forum, found rick's Kat and couldn't resist, this flamed black kat needed to be in my garage and there i'm, waiting the import company to call me asking me to come to pick up the Kat any day now, just waiting for the registration file to come back. Everything would be more dificult without POA, would have to flight to US to see some car but with POA members i got directed to the rigfht car and didn't need to see the car before buying and importing it, Have to say that i was a bit strested last monday when i went to see the kat for the first time. But saw happy to see the kat was better than i was expecting..... POA RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Lone Ranger I had the Prowler with the Harley on the trailer and I must have talked to 1000 people as I was there for 10 days. Since the Prowler was the easiest rig to get around in I was the OFFICIAL BIKE WRECKER SERVICE for about 60 guys that I go to Bike Week with. I do remember being in several of the bars and someone would say my bike broke down we need to go get a truck, and out of the crowd by people I did not even know you would here find the guy with the black prowler. That would start conversations all over, I think I put about 500 miles on the Prowler the week and only 300 on the bike. ------------------ |
