Welcome, If you get to Ventura Ca. give a shout. By the way only fronts should be ceramic brake pads. Backs need to be OEM. Love the flames.

I didn't know that you shouldn't use the ceramics on the rear. I must have missed that somewhere along the way. Does anybody know why you can't use them on the rear too? Thanks and have a great weekend everyone!!!

Very nice cat... welcome to the POA, wonderful people
with a lot of knowledge and help if needed.

For your recall you can use the following link of DM, just
type in the last 8 figures of your VIN and you can see if
there are any incomplete or unperfomed recalls outstanding.

Good luck and save miles,

Kees

Thanks Kees, great info. Apparently the ball joints are done but there still shows a break safety light recall outstanding

Thanks for the link, I had been fishing around for it on and off since I got my Prowler, and sure enough, I'm in need of the ball joint service. Anyone have a preferred or "avoid" recommendation for getting it done here in Houston?

Avoid all archer dealers. Call around and ask if they have a tech. Try to talk to him, and ask how many he's done. You will be amazed at what you find. One dealer told me he never heard of a prowler tech, but any of their techs can work on my car. The next sound he heard was a click. If you feel like going out to Hempstead, try Lawrence Marshall. It's been a while since I was out there, but they had a tech. Not much experience, but was very cautious and allowed me to watch, photograph, and even help. (All he did for me was my hitch, but I could get a feel for the guy. The only other prowler he worked on was the owner's ball joints. I don't know if he's still there or not.) Maybe some other locals will chime in with some do's or don'ts. Read up on some of the hints to take the tech for getting it done right and damage free.
Goodson was good off I-10 but they closed up. Don't go to Crown. I hear the dealership in Alvin is good.
