From past experience: I would not recommend that you do this. I've seen how Texans drive when the roads are slick. Keep your Kat in-doors.

I agree there. I wouldn't go for a cruise, but I'd get it out for some pictures for sure.

No storage here for all the obvious reasons. The thing to look out for in San Diego is the first rain of the winter. We usually get 3" to 4" of rain a year, mostly in January and February. Right now we are working on over 150 straight days without rain, that will usually stretch to over 225. The problem is the first "big" rain we get is a very dangerous day. 6 to 8 months worth of oil and grease are sitting on the roadways in little grooves and stuff. The oil is lighter than water and rises to the surface in the first rain creating extremely slick roads. Southern Californians drive like normal and find themselves not being able to stop or turn and there are exponentially more wrecks that day than any other day of the year. Therefore, I may put my Kat in storage for one day this year.

When you guys and gals are putting you Kats away that is the time to get ours out.In summer to hot and rains and winter time weather is mostly nice for top down driving.But right now we must hid them from the storms,another one for this weekend.

If you don't use salt on the roads, I suppose it wouldn't be much worse than rain.........but salt is deadly!
