Oh, yeah........and what about all those people who drive with no tail lights or have a headlight out and don't replace it?? Have you ever noticed while you are driving at night how many cars are like that? And what about those who drive with no visible brake lights?? |

quote: I would imagine that all those older cars are exempt? Grandfather law,,,under previous laws when built. Like in Az.,,,we have auto emission tests. If your car was built before 1967 and its still on the road, it's exempt from the federal/state emission laws,,,,even if it is a smoker. |

we get moving violation tickets here for burnt out headlights or tail lights.... usually a warning the first time but next time its 50.00 fine. "don't quote me on this" but out of province vehicles aren't stopped for minor infractions |

jimscool - I got stopped for having a clear license plate cover,,,not the kind that blocks photo radar/red light cameras, just clear plastic to keep the plate clean. Guess the officer didn't have anything better to do,,,and I missed the movie because of the stop. He made me remove it and he took it with him. I could be a felon now, lol. |

....1968 was the first year for federally mandated side marker lights.....some cars let the front parking/rear lenses wrap around for side visibility.....others had separate units installed.... |
