They were lucky to have the Wipers on the car. If the wipers were not there the horse would have probably started on the Rag Top.
Horses will nibble on anything- have seen a number of padded Vinyl Tops eaten, back in the Old Days!!

No wipers = no scratched windsheild.

Randy - I had to get out my dictionary to find out what windshield wipers were. It didn't say anything about horse feed!

I like the scallop design. Colors - as we all know - are a matter of personal choice & preferences.

I wonder when someone will get around to painting theirs flat black - that seems to be the new latest trend at street rod shows I've been to in the last six months.

Don't care for the color combination, but to each his own and that's why we all have different!

Chuck -

I'm with you on that truck on rides.
As Marty says, flat black seems to be the rage on the rod circuit, but I doesn't do anything for me.

Did I hear the guy right on Rides when he said that was a $200,000 vehicle?

I actually think it's pretty cool. They call it velvet, or suede. And it's not just a flat black paint. Has to have a very smooth finish to look right.

But, as always, to each it's own.

Jesse James has a comercial out with a flat black 53 Chevy (I think, it goes by kinda quick) with a power rake that I like.

I dunno, maybe I'm showing my age, that use to be a cheap way to modify one's car. Not anymore.

Like Marty said I like the scallops! not my choice of colors but it is not my car. Maybe a Suede car with Yellow to Orange to Red gloss Scallops? I just cant make up my mind on how I want mine so I am just going to cover it in decals.

Flat Black or Suede looks best on a retro style hot rod. That truck on rides was not retro style. The flat black they applied was not painted very well either. You could see the paint strokes. And the doors looked a different shade than the fenders etc. On the right car suede looks awesome. But not on the modernized truck like that.
