I also wanted to mention that the last trailer was painted purple and given to the Walter P. Chrysler Museum collection to be with the purple Prowler they also have. I was really glad to see them do this.

I thank Rick for pursuing and sharing this information with us. He also asked me to tell everyone Happy New Year and safe cruising in 2004!!

The Prowler trailer production continued in 1998 and I am assuming that the vendor that assembled and gave the trailers their serial numbers registered those built in 98 as 98s.

Bob Tate, Mgr of the gift store is working with a new vendor and he promises me that he will be ordering new Prowler stuff soon. With regard to the Museum, I know that they used to have the purple Prowler in the "garage" in the basement. They change their displays often with themes of specific cars. The Prowler needed to be repainted also, as it was (in the past) the only car that the public was allowed to actually sit in. Needless to say, it didn't fair well. It could be that they are working on that to get it ready to put back in the museum. Next time I speak to Bob I will ask him if he knows when we might see it again!

My trailer was built in march of `98 and the car in June `98.

Yes there were Prowlers built in `98, they just titled them as `99's
