I would LOVE to hear a success-story regarding the Chrysler Customer Assistance Center. Below is the reply I received after 3 or 4 back-and-forth Emails. What is my issue that can't be resolved? I asked Chrysler to send me a copy of the "Motoring Assistance" plan that I purchased AND PAID FOR OVER 3 YEARS AGO (this is an optional coverage added to my 7 year/100,000 mile Maximum Care Extended Warranty). If your reply is from the same "Kevin" that I worked with, note that he accomplished nothing for me. =============================================================== Date: Tue, 10 Sep 2002 09:27:47 -0400 Dear Steven: Thank your reply to DaimlerChrysler Customer Service regarding your DaimlerChrysler Service contract. I have thoroughly reviewed your message and the entire file on this matter. Your concerns are understandable. Unfortunately there is nothing further that can be done to more fully address these issues. Although a more favorable reply can't be provided, sharing your concerns is appreciated. In case the dealership wont do it. Let me know if you decide to get a new fender because i can get them for about 545.00 OEM new. Even though i know its quite a bit of money but its cheaper than getting it at the dealership. ------------------ |

I noticed there's no mention of who submitted this weeks poll idea question on DC service satisfaction... Could they have submitted it themselves? hmmmm... I had excellent service until it was out of warranty. It went downhill from there, and with the ball joint recall, it was flushed down the drain. Service, attitudes, quality of workmanship, parts quality, everything. This brought my vote to fair. It was hard not to vote poor, but I had to account for the good as well. I would hope that fair would mean less than desirable to the pollster... This message has been edited by idive on 09-24-2003 at 03:06 AM |

I am having the same problem since I bought my cat (1999) used. The dealer told me that the warranty was expired and I have to buy the new fender if I want to fix it and no extended warranty neither :-(. Plus, I have a custom paint and that will be additional. I have kind of learned to live without it and yes, there are quite a few chips on the paint. Sorry for the late reply to this topic since I haven't been on much. ETMIDZT, I hope you can see the light at the end of your tunnel. I've made a U-turn a long time ago...Good Luck BTW, I think I will try Bob Goetz's idea in the future...The check is in the mail Bob...hehehehe ------------------ This message has been edited by Howler Cat on 09-24-2003 at 03:37 PM |

no offence bob,but 3m tape is not a good choice to use.search under mud flap brkt fell off.fix is there.i would use nothing but 3m panel bond adhesive.been in auto business 40 years, this stuff works, and is easy to use.we use it to bond body panels on.40 years, wow thats to long.time to find another profession.i could be alley cats attorney. ------------------ |

I agree Jan if you still have the bracket using 3M or SEM structural bond is the way to go but I think he does not have it anymore and the tape will hold the flap on, until some point a bracket is available. ------------------ |

Now it's 3 weeks since I called DC! So...I called them again today! I talked with 2 people Natasha & Jason. I asked why no-one has called me/ mailed me or My dealership. I know there has been NO contact with my dealership cause I went there and asked the manager. DC says there are NO reports of the mudflap hangers falling off. I restated my coversation from 9-16 to these indivuals. They said if the dealer want to replace the fender that's their option! My dealer says he can't do it without DC's approval! Talk about getting the run around!! I know CJ was trying to help.....Have you any info. CJ? I'm going to call my dealership & relay my latest coversation to them about todays DC call. I now have a Ref.# 11659594....Don't know what to do with it ....but I have one!! WooHoo!! Oh yeah....I asked for their supervisor.....Sorry Not avalible!! Maybe 'oversimplified' but try this.... cant hurt! Do a search... Go to the 'mudflap' problem posts .... and PRINT em out... take that to your dealer! Always works for me... when they know others DO have same problems, MY dealer (yes I know it changes) never gives me ANY trouble. Print em out... might work! |

I emailed DC at Chrysler.com yesterday afternoon detailing the situation. I gave them my VIN, My case #, Phone #. I got an auto response saying they would reply in 3 days. My dealer wants to do it! But says he needs DC's approval! DC says it the dealers decision! I've owned many Chrysler products...My inlaws & my account do also. When this all washes...I'll give them the scoop! Hope DC does right by me! If not.....Well....word of mouth advertising will not be positive.... |

Mike, Thanks for posting this for me. I've tried every Avenue & been shot down. I'll opt. for the solutions given by others in this thread. I'll Glue the flap on the Fender myself.(minus the bracket) Thanks for all the input! I am still very disappointed in DC! Very unpersonal! Not the Car company they were in yrs. past!(if you know what I mean) |
