I had a clean record before buying the Prowler. I got three tickets the first four months of owning the Prowler. I have been paying huge insurance and have been on my best behavior since! First one I got I was road testing to see how it handled at speed. I had 3 lanes of rual Interstate with very light traffic and ran it up to 120 mph. I did need to make up some time and knew I was pushing it a little and after sustained speeds over 100 for a couple of miles, I backed off to 90 for a few more miles. I spotted the motorcycle cop under the over pass and hit the brakes. He got me with laser at 83 in a 65 mph. zone. My second ticket was on a road trip to a family reunion. Some rice burner had been tail gating me through the Mt. Hood forrest. A safety corridor where traffic fines double. I passed the sign that said it ended and decided to pick up the pace and loose that guy riding my a$$ the last 20 miles. I thought of pulling over and letting him go buy but didn't. Sunshine, and 80 degrees, Pink Floyd playing, no hurry, and enjoying the scenery and great drive on winding Highway 26 east. State trooper coming the opposite direction came around a curve and got me at 87mph. Radar went off but I was nailed! Couple of minutes later the rice burner screams bye and honks! The third one was worse... negligent driving, breaking the tires loose in a hair-pin curve. Out of control... oops.. OK, I have learned some hard lessons but have slowed down a little and can say I enjoy my Cat to the fullest. I have since been to the track with our Prowler group and had a chance to push it to the limit in a controlled safe environment and wished I had done that sooner. They say having "fun" in the wrong place doesn't pay!
Oh, you'll pay... and pay... and pay!

Have a Safe and Very Merry Christmas Holiday, to all of my Prowler friends and fellow Prowler owners!

No tickets, but......

The first weekend I owned the Kat I was pulled over by a local officer of the law who approached the car and said, " I'm tempted to give you a ticket. That car looks fast just sitting there!".

He wanted the full 411 on the Prowler, and didn't bother to remind me that I didn't have a front license plate attached.

Pulled over once for doing 68 in a 55. Saw Marine sticker on car and started telling me what year it was and that I was speeding. Left glasses at girlfrieds house and could not see gauge. Told him I thought I was doing 58. Talked awhile and he told me to slow down and have a good night. It was great all the way home at 55.
