How many of you have been stopped IN YOUR PROWLER for speeding? Did you get a ticket, or not. I have been stopped once but not ticketed. I was going 47 in a 35 in a residential zone, down hill, at night. |

Got my first ticket in 33 years while driving the orange Kat....but it was for running a stopsign at the corner by my house...I was doing "approx 3mph"(his words) !!! We have a state cop in the area that just loves to write tickets.....drives a black Camaro.... |

Moved it over here, should be the right place, ANYWAYs, My ticket, Paxton finished the install(long story) and was running the pump gas out to fill with the Race Gas(unleaded) for the dyno pull and was cruising up the coast road at 120 plus, looked in the mirror and a small black dot that was getting bigger,,,I know I was in trouble, slowed down to a reasonable speed and sure enough it WAS THE LAW,,,grrrr,,,he asked me how fast I was going, I sorta told him the truth that it was over a hundred, he said you didn't need to be that truthful and then he felt sorry for me(hehehehe) and wrote me up for 74 in a 55, told him thanks for the break and I was on my way........ Oh yea, He said nothing about the front fenders being gone , my front or rear bumpers delete it was a good day after that,,,,Made 372 hp at the rears ------------------ |

Marty, it was a holiday weekend and I was off to get pancakes, the cop was not happy with me as he saw I hit the brakes hard but when he asked why I was going so fast I said I was hungry, he put a small smile on his face and then asked how fast I was really going and I held to my story I was not looking at the speedo just enjoying the car and the county road. |

I am afraid to answer this question in fear of might what happen the next time I pull the kat out... Oh well, here goes... No stopping, No ticket. Last time I was stopped was in '86. I was doing 50 in a 35 in my Daytona and got the ticket (I was running late for work!). I was that motor officers dispatcher that day, can you guess how many traffic accidents I dispatched him too that day? ------------------ |

After we leave Paxton and head home on the 126 from the 101 cutting over to the I5. This cop did not know how to ask us to check out our kats that he thought giving us a ticket was the best way to get up close to one.
Ever since I stopped hanging out with JD, I have had no more tickets. Later, ------------------ |

Hmmmmm... Errr... a... Well... a... Yes to both questions Ed... 1) Earlier this year (March I think) was pulled over for a private car show by a local officer whom proceeded to tell me that a beautiful hotrod like that needed to get a nice exhaust kit put on her. Jokingly, I then said that he would then pull me over for making too much noise... He laughed and said that he would give me a ticket if I didn't get it done... (Local Law Enforcement /age: late 40's early 50's) 2) May of this year was pulled over & ticketed for "speeding" allegedly (97 in a 65) fine doubled to almost a $400 ticket & 4 points... (fought in court brought down to 2 points & $170 which included $30 court fee) (State Trooper /age: about 42 yrs old) ( Ed - Bubba says hi) 3) Pulled over for yet another private car show by a local officer who wanted to see Kat with neon on. (Local Law Enforcement /age: about 28 yrs old) 5) Pulled over & given a written warning for no front plate in Lambertville, NJ Officer noticed my neon lights when I was in a parking lot showing a Valet attendant; Trooper asked me to turn neon on after he pulled me over a few blocks away from lot. I turned off lights before leaving lot, but he proceeded to tell me that he could bust me for the violation because I am not allowed to have neon on while driving, gave me verbal warning because he really couldn't give me ticket since I was on private property & was not moving at time... (State Trooper /age: about 34yrs old) Pulled over 5 times received 1 ticket, 2 written warnings... The year is not over yet but Kitty is in garage with cover on & carpet under her paws... She might come out again Will Santa still come??? WildBill |

Dan P, you need to add music to your link. I would suggest DESPERADO. WildBill, what do you mean "allegedly" and Bubba asked about Alley Cat. How could you get us mixed up. I did not bring this up to bring back bad memories, but I guess I should have figured that was inevitable. Sorry. |

Got tagged for doing 78 in a 55 -- first ticket in 15 years. St. Trooper never said anything about the Kat not having front bumpers, but did comment on what a "sweet ride" and spent several minutes scoping out the Kat. |
