I know - I'm bad - love to collect everything Coke, Ken and the kids will drink Coke - they like it, I just prefer Pepsi, but I will drink it if there's nothing else around. Bought Ken a 1954 completely redone Coke machine a couple of years ago for Christmas and my entire office is all Coke memorabilia. Ken has wanted a coke trailer for forever to pull behind a street rod (which we haven't completed yet) Tami

Tami, do you know anything about Coke collectable values. I have two Coke Bottles from the 1983 Superbowl XVII. The Washington Redskins won that year. The front of the bottle at the top says World Champion Washington Redskins with the football helmet. The bigger label says Washington Redskins with a picture of the trophy and below say Super Bowl XVII Champions. The back has all the regular season games and scores, as well as the playoffs and the Super Bowl scores. They have never been opened, 10 FL OZ bottles. The Skins only lost 1 game that year.

Rich: I have that same one. I'm not sure what the current pricing would be. If you can give me a few days I should be able to locate something for you. I know that there is an actual listing of the new pricing on the collectibles. I just haven't checked into it for awhile. Tami

Rich, a quick check on eBay shows a few have sold for $5 and one did not sell for $4 so I would say it is worth $ 3 to $ 5 which is about average for an older coke bottle. A lot of times the local bottlers make a bottle that is not distributed country wide and they wind up being worth more since they are not as readily available and not as many were produced. The super bowl bottles are usually more widely distributed.

Ed is correct - that's very true. I know that when the Dallas plant opened they did a bottle that is worth some money. I sent Rich a PM from what I found. Most collectors are saying $9.00 to $12.00, but it depends on if you find someone that wants it to finish our a collection or not. I usually buy my 10 oz. bottles in six packs which in long run makes them a little more collectible. I've had several people try to buy my Dallas Stars six-pack, but I'm keeping it! Tami

Wow, I had no idea that this would spark the age old Coke/Pepsi battle! Just so there's no confusion, Coca-Cola is #1 for me! Heck, I have a great career with The Coca-Cola Company and my wife and I have collected old Coca-Cola memorabilia longer than I've worked for Coke so it's a safe bet to say that I only drink Coca-Cola products.

It's always amazed me how passionate people are about Coca-Cola and Pepsi, working for The Coca-Cola Company I get to see it practically everyday!

Do more Prowler owners prefer Coca-Cola or Pepsi? I'm certainly not intending to start another "Spinning Wheel" thread so if you choose to respond, keep it lighthearted! I think we've got a couple Pepsi votes so far and a couple Coke votes, Alley Cat’s and certainly make mine Coke!

Bill.

I don't like either one (but, I drink both reg & Diet)...Karen likes both diet versions...

I like diet Barq's (now made by Coke) and Diet Hawaiian punch (now made by Pepsi)...

Our company set up the "World of Coke" exhibit last year. Three tractor trailer loads of Coke oitems arranged in a museum like setting for the public to view. Pretty interesting stuff.

I guess we split our vote. I usually buy what ever is on sale. If all else equal will buy Diet Pepsi. Rebecca prefers Diet Coke.

I only drank Coke for years and years. I would rather drink water than Pepsi. I became diabetic two years ago and now I only drink diet Dr. Pepper. Now Coke tastes as bad as Pepsi used to taste to me.
What I find ironic is that Coke drinkers prefer Coke because Pepsi is too sweet and Pepsi drinkers think Coke is too sweet.
I can't handle diet Pepsi or Coke due to the aftertaste. Diet 7 Up is okay and diet root beer is okay, too.
DO YOU THINK ANY OF IT IS ...DANGEROUS!?

Ed:

With as many diet/reduced calorie soft drinks that are consumed on a daily basis for many, many years now I can't imagine that there is any risk at all.

I've always thought the "sweetness" point you made was ironic as well.

Take care!

Bill

Looks pretty cool & I love the retro syle it adds to the Kat If you have or not decided to... A recomendation would be to integrate an old CocaCola bottle opener into the trailer as well... You know the ones you use to see attached to the machines years ago... Ed might have some scetches of them since cameras weren't invented back in his time But seriously, I think it would make a great top for the liscense plate frame to hide the light or even use two, one over each tail light... Just a thought... By the way... What is the ground clearence on the trailer???

WildBill:

Thanks for the kind words and the suggestion! It's going to be really close getting it done by next Friday but I still think I can do it.

The ground cleanance of the trailer is is about 7". I measured the lowest point on the car and made the trailer slightly higher figuring when I get some weight in it, it will level out a bit.

More pictures coming soon.....

I guess I did forget to mention that my goal was to get it done in time for the Turkey Run car show in Daytona Beach next weekend, sorry!

As far as hauling "turkeys", depending on who you ask (including my wife some days) the answer could be yes!

I painted it yesterday, I will post the pre-assembly "Prowler Red" pics tomorrow!

Wow, lettering this baby was an all day job! The next photos I post will be of the trailer completed and behind my Prowler.

All this work made me thirsty, I think I'll take a "Coke" break!

Bill, it may be a ton of work but the end result will be worth it. It looks great. Want to sell it? lol. I am anxious to see the finished product.
