Exciting times for a GREAT site. I look forward to the new server with more storage/bandwidth/horsepower (more horsepower-always good). With Mike's history of innovation, I look forward to the new features that we'll see with these new capabilities.
Which got me to thinking: what about video clips?
Just viewed a GREAT episode of "Car Crazy" on the "Speed Network". Although the episode was titled "Volkswagon(sp)show", most of it was devoted to an interview with Tom Gale, retired Executive VP of Design and Product Development at Chrysler.
SUMMARY:
The "best received concept cars of the past few decades" were developed during his watch: '70 cuda, Challenger, Prowler, Viper and PT Cruiser. There's a plug to our buddies at MetalCrafters for the first Viper built, which was done in steel. He was the resident hotrod freak, which resulted in the Prowler, with a picture displayed prominently on the wall. The Howler was mentioned as if it was real and "sold off the showroom floor" (did I miss something?). Quote: "good design increases value faster than it increases cost". The "personal manifestation of his passion" is his hand-built "state of the art 33 Ford Roadster", which bears a striking resemblance to the Prowler: aluminum body, horizontal slat grill, independent front and rear suspension, rear "like a Jag", twin A-arms, supercharged Chrysler 5.9 liter V-8 (whoops!), looks like prowler wheels but with "bullet" center caps (which I GUARANTEE are not plastic).

Great episode if you can catch it.

Mike K. - Question: will it be possible to post this as a video clip on POA? (I have it on Replay TV, can cut a tape, but can't guarantee the quality).

GRROWL,

That shouldn't be a problem at all. We're in the process of working on a "Prowler Press" section on the site that will feature magazine articles going all the way back to the early Prowler days and links to sites with Prowler reviews and articles. I'm sure we can fit the video in somewhere.

Thanks again for the offer!

Please send the video to:

Thanks, Mike.

It's on the way - with a little something extra.
