I was read about the door openings look then subject was changed to a new server contributions so I have start one let see any on think about the subject. I am a new user registered on March of this year, I was looking for the answers when my first Prowler brew up the engine no one can't gave me any strait answers except the PA members, finally everything went well, DC bought the first Prowler back. I didn't know Mike and his wife I'm not even meet him or associate with him, I didn't know how felty rich they are and I didn't care that his problems, the only thing I care is POA's Server. Any one know about computers know about computer they know how fast the computer industry are changing. Two years was a long times for the server to handle all the POA members we have and keep growing, I think it is a good idea to expand and up grade the server.
I think POA should make a contribution list in place of put the gold star at the front, some one may have a hard time to make a contributions at this time won't feel they were left out. I think before we desire to put a stars at the supporters we should have a pole asking every POA members how they want if Mike want this site to be serve as a NON-PROFIT. |

I have to apologize every one to read my article, english have been my second language in the past 30 years here in the US, Mathematics are international language so I can count $ very easy never miss one yet. Before I post I have to preview several times make sure it more understand but at this time I want to preview first but my tri- focal lens put me in the wrong place went to post instead of review. My point is : Why we have to made a GOLD STAR for POA members who made a contribution? it made some one did not have one look like they have been left out. I will help POA and give Mike salud or anyone who something like this. I will sent in my contribution soon as receive a check from STEVE T., I didn't care I have a star on my or not the only thing I do care is see everyone stick together and feel they don't left out. I can joy Official Prowler ASC. for 20.00/year too but, they are not good as the POA. |

Sam 771 (I got it right this time, didn't I) I like the idea of the star. It is no different than in other organizations of people that contribute I'M STILL WAITING FOR MY STAR I can see some not liking it. You cannot please them all. Mike has spent a LOT of TIME & MONEY to make this GREAT site. IF he chooses to put a GOLD STAR next to the names of members that have donated that is his business and this is not the 1st time we have offered to donate and before Mike didn't want anything from us. It is time we pay our dues. If you do not wish to pay we will still accept that fact and continue to communicate as we have always done. I do not think it is a matter of how much you send. Someone sending $5 would have a gold star just like someone sending $1,000. Give what you feel comfortable with. But where else can you get the info and entertainment we get here for nothing. We all enjoy this site, let that continue , the best site for Prowler info. something to think about, How much does a movie, can of pop or coffee every day, going out to dinner at some fancy steak place cost you. I spent $20 for Sue & I to go on tour of Hershey, PA to learn about the town and Milton Hershey. It lasted 45 minutes. I have been on this site for the last 2 years and up till this week had not given any money to support it. I think I got a good deal for the $$$ I have sent. My 2 cents. I hope this doesn't offend anyone PROUD TO BE A POA SUPPORTER....even if my star has not showed up yet |

Sam - I think I speak for everyone when I say, "You took the words right out of everyone's mouth." The only thing I would change is, instead of gold stars, I would put a CLEAR star in front of all the contributor's names and mail them special glasses so only they can see the stars. This way - the folks who haven't contributed won't feel like cheap and worthless scumbags. If we want to get hi-tech, we could print how much members contributed in red/blue 3D ink and sell special glasses with red and blue plastic lenses to digitally decode the 3D numbers. Maybe even make it Shimmer? |

quote: Buddybrad - I hope you are kidding; but I don't see any smiling icons or lol's so I have to think your post is serious. First of all, you don't speak for everyone. Second, I certainly don't believe (although I can't speak for) the administartors' intent with the gold star is to make non contributors feel like scumbags. Hopefully, the gold stars will have non - contributors asking themselves "what's the deal" and allow them to realize that |

I sent my money in because I thought I was getting a great deal. If you do not use the site much, I do not think you should feel obligated to pay anything. I would rather it be voluntary and if only 20 % contribute enough to keep it running, I still want the other 80 % to be active. Some people might be able to contribute a lot to the site, but not money. I was against the stars but now that they are being used, it doesn't bother me at all. I sincerely hope no one leaves because they do not want to contribute or can't contribute. Things could change drastically in a few years, they sure have changed drastically for me in the past few years. I even think snapnut ought to stay on board FREE. |

The main purpose of the gold star (and POA SITE supporter link) are mainly just to advertize to new-comers how to contribute. Nothing more than that. For those who rarely visit, I would not expect them to contribute. Most of those who benefit from the site feel obligated to contribute something... |

I like my star, first one ever just like school i had to pay the teacher for it Now for this star deal good idea and no one nows how much you sent. If you got it send it and if you don't got it don't worrie about it. VERY SIMPLE. I am going to cut you down if you got a star or not |
