Thanks Sasy,,,,,,,,,,,,AlleyCat wins!!! Ed and PK - I'm smarter than I look. All that education at Nebraska pays off. I always preferred open book tests. |

Rumor has it that the "open book" test was not supposed to be open and that is why you left Nebreska after 5 years as a sophomore. ------------------ |

All of the employees who were on the original Prowler Team also received one of these "puddle" Prowlers. That's how Bob acquired his. In addition, he probably has one of the rarest Prowler collectibles. He believes that there were only about 6 of these done: It says "Distribution Plan Survivor" and his name! Believe me, being the person doing the dealer allocation...he was not a popular guy!! |

Sasy, all of the Meijer stores here are pretty new so they are very clean and well organized and open 24 hours a day. I love shopping at 3 AM without any competition. lol They are all gigantic stores, also. They used to be here about 20 years ago but were just small stores at that point. A few years ago they re-invaded the area and are doing it right this time. ------------------ |

Hey Prowler-Keith, As I recall, it was a gift to Plymouth dealers to commemorate a meeting held around the country on January 3, 1996 to celebrate the Plymouth "Renaissance", a push by Chrysler to try to uplift the noble Plymouth nameplate led by its "halo" car, the awesome Plymouth Prowler. Unfortunately, as you probably are aware, the Plymouth brand did not survive much to the dismay of many C/P dealers and tens of thousands of Plymouth loyalists. IMHO, if Chrysler had not spent so much on trying to keep the infamous "Eagle" brand alive and spent it on this venerable old nameplate, we might still have it! I hope this answers your question...in fact, I may have provided more information then you really wanted to know. If you have any other questions, please post them and I will do my best to answer them for you. Mike |

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post above! I had no idea I would get such a large response. It will take me a little while to get back to everyone but I promise I will. Now I have to figure out how to handle this in a manner that will be fair and equitable to everyone involved. I have two meetings tomorrow morning so it may be late afternoon before I can get back to this. Please bear with me until I get back to you in the very near future. Thanks in advance for your patience and I do understand that everyone is anxiously awaiting an outcome. I will be in touch as soon as possible! Mike |

I found a "mistake" Prowler on E-Bay. Ended up paying $100. for it. I still dont have it, but while looking at the picture of it, I realized it looked a lot like my "Puddle Prowler" which was also made by Ertl. I took the puddle off the base and it also has the misspelled CHRYSTLER on it. DOUBLE VALUABLE ------------------ |

Butchee..... It is our understanding that all of the "puddle" Prowlers are like that. They all came from the same "run". I don't know if Ertl used the "mistake" cars thinking no one would notice, or if they used them before they realized the mistake. We knew about it when they first gave them out and Bob got his. I wonder if the people selling them on Ebay know that. If they don't and they find out, now they'll hold out for more money!!! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

CJ, I contacted a couple of the e-bay sellers and asked the question about the misspelling. I got no response. PK mentioned that he had one of those models and the word was repaired. Maybe they're not all misspelled. ------------------ |
