Eric, I'm with you... instead of "lazer cut into the metal" , the TGF grill mesh I'm supplying has "holes" already in the metal sheet. I think the only remain tasks for you guys is to "break the flat sheet of grill mesh, shape it to the contours, welded and chrome it". In addition to shaping, welding and chromimg the tranny cover, I would like to send the front grill mesh I have on the car to be chromed also. Look at the TGF web site at look at the grill or if I did this right the picture should appear below: - ------------------ |

MeanGene, This seams like alot of hassle shipping the grill across the borders a few times, can't you have it chromed in your are? I think I might not get exactly what you are trying to do here, please clarify. ------------------ |

Eric, I have one extra "flat" sheet of stainless steel mesh with the same pattern(holes) as the front grill mesh on my car. If you can use this flat sheet, bend/mold/weld it to your tranny cover pattern, and then chrome it - I'd be happy. In addition to the above, I would like to send the front mesh from my grill to be chromed also. Is this a little clearer? Gene ------------------ |

Gene, I don't think we will be able to bend and weld your sheet since it has the perforations all over it, if you send me the grill with the hole pattern in it, we could probably cut the same holes in the trany cover to match the grill and have then both chromed. Eric. ------------------ |

Hi Marc, If you want to check, the cover protrudes 2-1/8" from the tranny cooloer flanges (where the bolt are)and it is 8 3/8" wide and 11-5/8" high, it justy fits uner the rear cowling. ------------------ |

Sorry for the stupid question, but what is the difference of the chrome and the polished SS? ------------------ |

The difference is that one is steel that has been chromed and the other is polished stainless steel. The chrome will require less maitenance than the stainless, but the stainless can always be polished. ------------------ |
