From what I gather, it looks like the low numbers are closest to where they are built and as you get out to the states further away, the numbers increase.

The $147,000 is close...

The First Prowler built for sale went to the Auburn Auction in August 1997 and sold for about $141,000.

Bob Eaton has VIN#1

Actually, there were 3 Prowlers sold for a dollar... and no, they weren't public enemies! Quite the opposite!!!!

I noticed, as an additional trivia question, that none of the colors, including purple have sold out.

Where are all of those cars? With dealers or are they still trying to sell a 97 as new or for an ungodly amount of money?

Or have they been sold, untitled to speculators?

I thought I heard a Conner Ave. Plant employee say: The first ten -97 Prowlers for retail sale, went to California?
But, I'm told that the 9th Prowler built, is sitting on showroom (not for sale that I know of)at Bill Luke's dealership in Phoenix - probably still has MSO papers.
