Chromed the grill yesterday and found 4 more "Wildcat Johnny Lightnings" today at Meijer east of Cincy. Still no albino. I will have to check "We be toys".

Alleycat, It looks better than I thought it would. Unfortunately the sun hasn't been out for a week so I haven't had it out of the garage. Today is sunny but cool but I probably will get it out. I would have preferred getting the larger door edge guard but couldn't find any. I have a U-shaped piece about 3/16 of an inch but they do make larger, just couldn't find any. I will upgrade if I can find it. It definitely dresses it up. It was a great idea, thanks for sharing it with us common folks, Larry.

Warmed up today here in Ohio and was able to chrome my grill. Did it all for only $9.00.

I love the look. Since I have a black Tie, I think I should go all the way with a chrome grill. I should buy a new one and keep the stock one on the side. Who has the best experience with this type of work...I am picky.

Also what is the size and is the blulk stuff folded like door edge moulding? or just flat?

What I used was like a U channel with glue in it. got it at Pep Boys. 25' for $9.00. 3' left over. Very easy to do. Took only 1/2 hour. I think it look good close up. If you didn't know what it was most people would think it was real.

How wide is the bulk stuff, and how easy is it to curve.
Would you use a heat gun to make it more pliable.

Kat 2K,

I too have a black and want to give this a shot. I just called Pep Boys and found out some info. Apparently, you have a choice of three widths. Judging by the $9 you said you spent, I'm thinking you went with the narrow. Do you think the medium and large would be too bulky, or should I try it. I'm thinking about doing this TODAY! The poorest Kat owner wants the chrome look.

Only nine dolla, what ta baa-gun!!!!! hehehehhe

The size I used was 5/16 deep by 1/4 wide. No problem installing over the curved grill. The instructions say install only when the temp is above 65 deg. It was about 55 when I installed mine but I had it warmed up in the house and the Kat was in the sun. The size I used was plenty large enough. A larger size may have a hard time making the curve but who knows until you try.

Stephen in Ohio - WOW! I just knew the black cats were going to explode the chrome in the headlights, with this treatment.

Really looks sharp. We have talked Jerry Carroll, Sun Lakes, Az, to do this to his black cat.

You now have $389 to spend somewhere else on the cat!

Thank you Ed - I will send you a picture of me and my cat, that you can enlarge and nicely frame to 48 X 30 size to place in the Krehel Prowler Musuem.

As of now, can we refer to this application as the Arizona Chrome Grill?

Chrome,
Easy to cut, used a pair of scissors. And thanks.

Andy R,
Thanks, I'll be posting more as soon as I get the chance. A little shower can fix that dirt.

Hi
I am going to save some of you some time. Make sure that somewhere on the trim box it says, 3M adhesive used. I must of had a cheap brand because if came off right away. I noticed that the trim was made in Cokamonga with Borneo adhesive and that is whey it did not stick.
