According to the archives there has been interest in a simple cover for the cockpit to keep the sun & dust & prying eyes out while the top is down. I drive my Prowler to work a day or two a week and although it's within sight of my business, the sun beats down on it, as well as the dust (and bird residue) For me, leaving the top down saves wear & tear on the canvas & mechanism & seems to make sense. Those who have had or found a cover of this type, how can some of the rest of us tap into your research & efforts? Steve.in.Roanoke |

Yep! I saw that previous post/picture. Did a local upholstery shop do that? Cost? The upholstery folks around here are pretty pathetic, so am hoping there is a design already made -or- ??? |

I've threatened to try this one: http://www.capoptop.com/ But never got around to contacting them. Price seems right! Has anyone tried this type of cabin cover? Maybe one person could,,,,and the rest of us might get a group buy? |

Cost less than $50. Marine grade "leather" and weighted with BBs around the edge. Fits in the weekender nicely. |

AC & Stallings, I like the looks of that cover keep us posted on any new info. Maybe this will keep me from cutting up my OEM trailer cover to make something like this since it looks like I won't ever buy a trailer. DB |

I'm in for a CA pop top if you do a group buy. I see their site doesn't even list a size for the Prowler. |

Thanks AC for the CA Pop Top info. I just talked with John there, and he is extremely helpful. I'm going to give him some measurements and he is going to see what he can conjure up for us. Will keep all posted on progress. Is someone here, POA, living closer to Valencia, CA ??? Ideally John could see the actual configuration and go from there. Steve.in.Roanoke |

John @ California Pop Tops sent me the following message: Steve, Do you know any Prowler members that live in the Los Angeles area? FYI - I'm located about 40 North of LA in the Santa Clarita Valley. If this person is open to it, I could stop by and examine his/her car. Let me know. Regards, John Allen |

Thank you guys in So.Cal. for stepping up to the plate. Don't know how beneficial a "group" buy would be on a product this reasonable, but I do know John is a great guy & willing to get the job done. His primary focus has been the Miata & there's a ton of those out there. I gave John the measurements over the phone last night, but there's nothing like having a live vehicle to work from. Let's make this happen Steve.in.Roanoke |
