With 43% either stock or stock with DC accessories in our POA poll, what % would this be in the overall Prowler market. My guess is the combined % would soar to over 75%,maybe even 80%. What do you all think? The reason I ask is I wonder when I finally wear this one out in a few years and need another daily driver, how many stock Prowlers (low mileage)will be left out there? ------------------ |

I wonder why there was not a choice for totally stock (except the mods). I am offended. Marty, probably the hard core modders are present on the POA site the the people who do not want to change the car drastically also do not belong to "car clubs". Or not. Who knows. Just my 2 cents. |

I would agree with Ed. Half the fun of owning a prowler is doing mods and thats what 85% of what this site is about! Talking about the different mods, prices, etc. If we all had stock prowlers what fun would that be! what would we talk about? Can you imagine Texas stampede or Niagara Falls with all totally Stock Prowlers! Only way we could find out which one is yours would be by the license plates! I only saw one Stock prowler at Niagara falls last year!!And he told me he was embarrassed!! Drive em just don't cover it and let it sit in some garage. I would agree with CT...and if that means in a round-about way that someone might interpret that to mean I also agree with Ed....... (lol) I believe that all Prowler owners "get it", but those in POA (and those who add mods) perhaps "get it" a bit more. My opinion only, wihich, in a house with 3 other women, doesn't go very far.... Kevin ------------------ |

I agree with the above comments. The hardcore owners are here. They cared enough and were dedicated enough to find this site. They are the ones, in my opinion, who are most likely to modify their Prowlers. ------------------ |

I'm definitely a hardcore owner and I have two cats. My 99 Black is totally stock (except for the mods) - like Ed's. The only change there is black bumpers instead of grey and the Prowler Borla exhaust. The 02 Candy Red has painted bumpers, louvered side panels, Borla exhausts, chrome grille and a hardtop. However, everything I have done was with duplicate parts, saving the originals so that I can change it back to stock if I ever decide I want to do that. I feel like I have the best of both worlds, yet having cats that are more of a personal "me". Now if Bob would just let me do what I really want to do with them............ |

I will agree that MANY of the people adding mods to their Prowlers are here on the web, but with only 500 or so people that have posted at least 25 times being active here, there are a lot of other Prowlers out there somewhere. Do you think most of them are stock? Also, don't forget that 44% of people responding to the poll say their cars are stock or DC accessories only so a very large percentage of POA folks like the car just the way DC made it. ------------------ |

I did not fit into any of the categories listed except for Ed's Totally Stock (except for the mods) category. The "hard core mods" will have to wait until more money grows on the trees I just planted...purchased from a sweet old lady with a sign at a stop light. LOL. The other options are group purchase or stealing them off another Katt at the next event...though, not from a PAO member. (make sure you have your PAO stickers on at the next event). :D Like Marty, mine is driven daily, not covered or trailered(is that a word). Even totally stock, I would never be embarrassed in a Prowler....except the time I got pulled over by the police for having too much fun. :D. |

I would tend to think that the 'suppliers' do not really advertise much "outside the circle" ... perhaps I'm wrong... Lord knows, that wouldnt be afirst.... but really the way to find out might be to ask the suppliers that DO post here...... Bob, Jay, Dean, etc.... do you fellas advertise much OFF this site? Thanks! Given that line of reasoning, I would agree that not many other mods exist. I know that in the people (very few) that I have met outside this site that they truly have original cars or just small, or paint job mods.... |

I manufacture some 60 items for kat's. Some are single element replacements or covers and some are fairly complex. I started doing this the first day I owned my 2000 black. It's been A blast, and I'm far from being done-just a real good start! I made the decision to use cart shows to direct sale my stuff to individual owners and that led to a flier(now 9 pgs. long) and I've dev. A mailing list for these owners. This way I continue to dev. "the list" At some point I'll do some type of add on the sight but only to add the flier. I strongly feel I can reach more people in the long run this way. I've made it a point to ask everyone that owns one att every show how involved they are with the net and the club sight ans. it's overwhelming that MOST owners don't use the net outside there bus. or direct family needs. At some 3 years now this is a lot of people. So...; I'm proceeding slowly as I learn about the ways of the net too. Kicking and screening all the way I'm dragging myself into the 21 cent. I think I'm on the right track-I hope??. Obi-Wan |

Since 1999 Real Rod has 785 customers that we have shipped parts to, in the last 6 months I have been asking people that have not ordered before how they find me, and are they signed up with the POA so the easiest way to break it down is this: Out of 10 people: 1 bought the car used and the previous owner told them about me or they found a catalog in the car. 2 saw someone at a show or driving their Kat or a friend owns one and told them about me. 3 found me on the net. 2 found me on the POA and are members. 2 found me on the POA and are not members. And I always talk to new owners and the other interesting thing is many have watched the POA boards for several months with out posting or signing up before they made their car purchase. Can someone not signed up as a member vote on the poll? If so maybe a good Poll question would be: ------------------ |

Bob: I found you by way of POA and I may have found out about you and your product offerings later, but I'm sure it would have much later, if at all. I'd like to add that you and all the other vendors who are active in POA go beyond the call of the normal vendor. You are Prowler and car nuts first and vendors second. This shows with your help on the front side of an order and how you stand behind your products once they are received. Yeah, some of the items are pricey, but I don't mind paying for quality products backed by great customer service. If all vendors were like you and all the others on POA, life would certainly be simpler. ------------------ |
