The past 2 years I've rented a Prowler from Sport-It in Bloomington, Minnesota. Kind of spendy considering I live 60 miles north of the rental place and they only give 50 free miles.
I was just curious if anyone on here has ever 'rented' out their Prowler.

No one drives the Prowler but me, my wife or fellow Prowler owners that know what they are doing.

I think you would have to be crazy. If you never have driven one its a whole new experience. Can't see front fenders and tires very easily to start with. Rear is very wide. I let a employee drive my kat into garage for oil change. If i wasn't there to stop him he would have wiped out my right front fender! Lesson learned. Why would you? $$$$$$$ I wouldn't for $5000 a day! Not worth it if it gets wrecked!

Alot of large metro areas have prowlers, Ferrari's, Lambos, Hummer's for rent. Cost is rediculous and only give you 50 miles a day. Above that is something like $3/mile.

Renting for the "day" is also not 24 hours. It's usually 9 till 5 so you have to typically rent for 2 days minimum.

Never checked on a Prowler but, a 360 spider will set you back around $4K for a weekend with only 150 miles allowed.

Guess this is why I never see any rented out. LOL!

I've never rented out my cats, nor would I. My husband has only driven my Black cat once and never the Candy Red. He just doesn't. I've had one Prowler owner drive it once.........that's it. Instead of always renting one, why don't you just buy one!???

Unless renting every weekend, probably still cheaper then buying one and no hassle at the end of the day.

We rent luxury boats for a few weeks a year. While not cheap, alot cheaper then actually owning one. I'm guessing the same with cars too.

Great idea CJ. Let my son drive mine when he comes to visit but except for him nobody else. The dealer was the first one to scratch under the nose. Now I drive it around the service department not them.

I would never consider renting any of my cars out but there are a few places in most cities that do.I met a person at the Auto Show this year that rents exotics and charges a fortune for that. For example-a Prowler for the weekend with a mileage restriction -$1000(what a bargain)...

I would never rent my car to a stranger, but have loaned it freely to friends and family. One of my buddies drove it on the date night when he proposed to his (now) bride.

Wonder if this was a rental????

Probably not by the looks of the wheels, but it makes you think "It's eleven o'clock. Do you know where your Prowler is?"

Wow a $1000 a weekend! If I guy could rent it twice a month it would pay to buy a car with a warranty and rent it out.

So true,Bob.
The same guy rents a Ferrari Modena 360 for 2500 per day and the Gen1 and 2 Vipers for 750 per day.
He says he rents them mainly for movie shoots, proms, weddings etc.Very lucrative by the sounds of it

I never said it would be cheaper to buy one. I just think that if you like the Prowler that much to rent it frequently, and you can afford it......then just buy one to have for your very own!

What do you think insurance would cost for you to rent out a vehicle like a Prowler?

While on a business trip in Memphis I stopped at a Budget Rent a Car that was renting a yellow Prowler. Very expensive and on top of that the rental guy told me every rental ends in the customer paying to repaint the nose. We decided to buy one so that we could drive it. LOL
GO BUY A KAT!!! You will not regret it.

I would never rent any of my cars out. Especially my 360. The repairs on that would be huge.

I have a standing offer from the Fire Chief of Fillmore, CA. He wants to drive a Prowler, and in exchange he will let the owner drive a fire truck. My brother is a fireman there but we take the minivan when we go there to visit. Would anyone take an offer like that?

I would probably let the Chief go for a spin. Not so much to drive the fire truck, but as a thanks to the Chief and the firefighters.

My answer may surprise a few of you. As I have posted most often, my care is a daily driver and I regularly let my 18 year old daughter and 21 year old son drive it as well as friends, neighbors and co workers making a run to McDonalds. I have no problem letting others enjoy the car, but I would never rent my car and would certainly not want to assume the liability.
