I just purchased a Paxton Supercharger and I was told by Kelly that he has sold just about one hundred of them. I just wanted to know how many of you have one installed on your kat? I got the high out put boost with headers all polished. Can you offer any advice or suggestions or input? |

I got one, DO NOT run the car with the knob, if you have one all the way to the left, back it off 4 or 5 clicks or more,,,You can run it all the way to the left if you run unleaded race gas, also you can get more boost if you take off the cylinder around the filter but you will blow it up, I am on my second motor, guess what I did....... ------------------ Prowler Products by GaryE, formally Carlini |

So you will have the new style, there will be no knob so leave the car in the form you get it and will enjoy many many many miles of smiles........ Congrats |

Scott, Had the same kit installed ~6 weeks ago. After the short test runs, First long drive - got on it hard. These guys are right, "made me smile." A very short Hi though, threw th A/C belt....serpentine. WHY, alignement was ok, that belt needs to be tensioned VERY tight, less than 1/4" deflection (that is not in the manual, but Kelly and others told me that afterwards). I was in shop Bugg'n Mabrey(Mechanic)18 of the ~28 install hrs( did a mopar catback also). It's certainly not a job for a novice, far from a bolt-on. Mabreys good, real good, amd he had his frustrations. Car has more over 4krpm, no rocketship, but certainly more. Glad I did it. Research previous posts on this site. These guys have documented pictorials and a wealth of info. Enjoy! |

JoeD , Thanks for the infromation on the belt I will pass it on to my mechanic. His name is Brian and he is a Paxton distributor out of Oklahoma City. He has a speciality shop that only installs horsepower products like superchargers. |

Steve and Debbie, What a list of cars to drive and enjoy. I also have the 2002 Yellow 35th Anniversary Firebird Trans AM as my daily driver. My Prowler is a 2000 Yellow. Brian at Powerhouse in OKC, OK is doing the install. |

Scott, Make sure to keep us updated on the install of your supercharger. I am thinking about adding one to the Are you having any other mods done to the Prowler? Steve ------------------ This message has been edited by Steve T on 01-14-2003 at 01:23 PM |

Brian at Powerhouse races for Paxton and it is his shop doing the install. He was doing everything from a Corvett to a Ford F100 pickup the day I left my car. I should have it by this Friday if weather permits. I will not drive it in bad weather. I have done other mods to the interior and exterior, but nothing to the engine until now. I put a new chip into my Trans AM and that is all it needed to be bad. I will keep you informed on how it goes. He is only charging $1200.00 for the install. I paid $6300.00 for the deluxe kit. |

Scott, I JUST saw where you were from and where you are having it installed. A coworker of mine has had some problems with Powerhouse. He is taking it back in and hopefully they will be resolved. If you would like more info or to speak to him, feel free to contact me. 405-733-2345. Worst case scenario, I would LOVE to take a ride with you once it's done. ------------------ |
